Title: Dallas Golf
Post by: BigGun on December 04, 2007, 12:52:57 PM
Last Thursday I flew to Dallas to go to the Dallas/Packer game with a friend of mine in Dallas that has season tickets. It seems living in the Bay Area that is the only way to see a good game anymore, plus I have been a long time Cowboy fan. It was a blast.

Anyway, the next day he had arranged to go golfing. Weather was actually not too bad. He ended up taking me to someplace called Vaquero or something. It wasn't in Dallas, actually on the other side of DFW. Not sure what the town is it was in, but WOW, what a great golf club. That place is top notch. I haven't golfed much in Dallas, but was impressed with this club for sure. Highly recommended it for anyone in the area that gets the opportunity. I am all ready making plans to return for the 2nd and 3rd rounds of NFC playoffs. Go Cowboys!

cowboy's suck.... :p

but besides that the Municipal course in Grapevine is quite good. I golfed there with Redtop at the con a few years back and I was quite impressed.

The DFW area is blessed with many excellent golf choices. I've always wanted to play Tour18 (http://www.tour18-dallas.com/layout9.asp?id=422&page=11996) in Flower Mound. I think the Gaylord Texan is supposed to be really nice, too.

I'm kind of proud of my local course Runaway Bay (http://www.runawaybay.com/golf/proto/runawaybay/)

I think there is a Golden Tee between the Cinnabon and Starbucks in the American D Concourse at DFW.
