a new Arizona law to go into effect in jan 07 says any business that employs illegals will lose their business license. As a result employers have been firing illegals and the illegals have been leaving Arizona by the thousands.
-
:aok Arizona!
Oklahoma also has sent Mucho Grande Mexicans running South to the Border.
Texas hates us ... well what's new?
:D
Mac

Texas hates everybody that isn't Texas. Just because they were a country on their own for about....a year.
-
if this is true. it is the best possible solution.
i hope other states will follow and that we can finally get a more robust and practical immigration policy to allow those who have played by the rules to make a permanent idealogical choice and join us as citizens in this great country.
-
About frickin time.

I just cant wait to see which candidate will be the first to get on all 4's and offer it
to get the 'hispanic' vote.
I bet 10 perkies it'll be hillary.
-
It's true.
I don't think it will change anything but the crime rate.

I saw a dem talking head get all weapy eyed over the fact that Romney found out that his lanscaping company had illegals and fired them. He was all distraught that all them minimum wage workers lost there yobs for political points.
I truely think that this will be a more defining issue in the next election than Iraq. The repub that gets the strogest anti-illegal endorsment wins the primary.

Making it the key issue will be the whole trick, though. Iraq is still at the forefront of the news, and thus, everyone's mind. And any Repub. attempt's to swing the issue will be construed as "Trying to hide Iraq? You want us to stay there, then" and will be hard to get changed to the real problem facing this country-illegal immigration.

Fletch: Oh c'mon guys, it's so simple, maybe you need a refresher course. It's all ball bearings these days.
-
Oh, I got a headache just thinking about that battleship.
I'm thankful it's there, mind you. I just am sooooooo tired of visiting it. I think I've got pictures of my kids at all different ages/stages at that thing.
In fact, I probably have enough to put together an entire montage of just battleship pictures.

My fellow Arizonan's.....
Yes, the media has kept the news on the down-low. Do you blame them? MOST of the metro area is from Mexico and has no documentation. Why would the news 'round here want to play such a somber story to it's ratings base? :)
The storm's comin', get ready!
:aok

Txmom,
It's a shame they charge so much to go on the ship. :(

Thanks so much RedTop :lol They'll be thrilled!
*edit* p.s. there will need to be a full crew compliment just to make sure they don't blow stuff up if the guns are refitted as well.

The suit challenging the new law in AZ. was thrown out yesterday.
http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/071208/employer_sanctions.html
The law takes effect Jan 1. New challenges are still likely given the information in the story linked above.
