Title: BOB'08 Planes!

How about remodeling the Hurricane Mk.I, the bf110C, and maybe the Ju88, with the possibility of adding an He111 (optional) before BOB'08?

It's tradition to run BOB every 2 years as a scenario!

You know it's coming, most likely toward the end of the year. We've got just enough time to remodel the key players in this setup!!

So, we have time to get these key BOB players up-to-snuff before the event takes place!

Post by: Krusty on December 07, 2007, 08:46:52 AM: I wouldn't mind seeing a Ju88A-3 for BOB, but that wouldn't really apply to anything but BOB, and would handicap the JU for any other role (including MA).

I think we need several key "early" bombers, among them He111, G3M "Nell" and G4M "Betty," but I don't think we'll see any of them anytime soon.

Post by: Krusty on December 08, 2007, 09:29:05 PM: Well in BOB'06 they changed the way radar stations showed up. Instead of bombing the tower itself, you now had to bomb the electronics building, and they'd have the huge wide antenna arrays, not the single tower. It was a custom object addition and would have looked sweet (from what I was told). However it was not done in time for BOB'06 so we used the original '04 map. I'm guessing the "facelift" is finally getting these new custom radar towers built into it and getting it out for everybody.

They never came out, but I know they were done, so I think that's the major change.

But, yes... I'd love to get some proper Chain Home and white cliffs in there. :)

Whenever I go over on the ferry I always sit on the back and watch them drift out of view. Sounds silly but it reminds me of where I come from and that is my home.

Post by: Denholm on December 13, 2007, 10:05:48 AM: AH1 Maps will always look better because it was MUCH easier to make custom tiles for them. For a while NHawk was making tiles of all types of landscape for AH1 maps but then AH2 came along rendering AH1 maps and tiles useless.

I just remember I loved flying that map offline and in HTH because of those cliffs... They blended so perfectly, were textured juuuuuust right. *sigh*

Post by: Krusty on December 13, 2007, 12:21:28 PM: No doubt, Bat! I'm thinking back to the AH1 map (not the screenshot you posted). I might have a screeny saved somewhere of me over Dover in a P40E or a 109E. At one time I had many screenshots. I used to love that map.
