The Partridge Family owns all of your 'ultimate' dream bands.
-
Volcals=Frank Sinatra
Drums=Buddy Rich
Lead Guitar=Jimmy Page
Rhythm Guitar=John Lennon or Malcolm Young
Keyboard=Rick Wakeman or Ray Manzarek
Bass=Jaco Pastorius
ok, granted, Frank isn't known for rock, but I think in his prime he would have made the greatest front man for a rock band. such a rich voice and smooth melodies.
Buddy is flat out the best drummer ever.
Page was a huge influence to my playing style, so I gave 'em the nod
John Lennon was a fantastic rhythm player, and the reason Angus sounds so good is Malcolm
Rick Wakerman (Yes) or Manzarek (Doors) either would be awesome.
Jaco Pastorius was voted best bass player that ever lived in 2006 by Bass Magazine, and I always dug the band "Weather Report".
-
Lead Singer David Lee Roth (one of the best front men ever)
Lead Guitar Jimmi Hendrix
Rythem Guitar Stevie Ray Vaughn or Eric Clapton(if i had to pick a live person)
Keyboards Giddy Lee
Bass Guitar Les Claypool
Drums Niel Pert
Now that is a band :aok
Imagine that Jam session!!:eek:

Lead Guitar - David Gilmour or Lindsay Buckingham (dependent on music type)
Rhythm - Pete Towshend
Drums - Mitch Mitchell
Keyboards - Ray Manzarek
Bass Guitar - Hard one, John Entwhistle or John Paul Jones or even Paul McCartney for a backup lyricist
-
Why does being dead make you a better artist?
-
Vocals - Freddie Mercury
Lead Guitar - David Gilmour
Rhythm Guitar - Duane Allman
Bass - John Entwhistle or Tony Levin
Drums - Keith Moon
Keyboards - Keith Emerson
Hammond Organ - Billy Preston or Richard Wright
Percussion - Ray Cooper
Goth, nice selections as well.
-
Ok living band.
Keith Caputo - Vocals - Life of Agony
Dave Mustaine - Rhythem and Lead Guitar - Megadeth
Zack Wylde - Rhythem and Lead Guitar - Black Label Society
Steve Harris - Bass - Iron Maiden
Derek Sherinian - Keyboards - Dream Theater
Dave Lombardo- Drums - Slayer
-
my picks
Vocals = Geoff Tate
bass = Steve Harris
drums = Keith Moon
lead = Steve Vai
rythem CC Deville
key boards = Geddy Lee
I'm sure there are better out there but these guys are the ones that have caught my ear over the years. I have always thought that CC deville was underrated and got overlooked because of the hair metal scene.
I have only just now 20 years later realized how good keith moon was.
