Just read a thread where you mentioned living in Farmington Mn... Why on earth would you move out of this great sate?? Farmington is a nice little town.
:D

New York Owns. :t

:) I was born in Duluth. I think my father was in the Air Force at the time? Or maybe he'd just gotten out. When I was 1, we moved to Farmington for just 2 years, then moved to Alaska. :) I was too little to have a say in it.
I've heard it's beautiful there, but haven't been there since age 3. :D

The Buffalo Bills!
:rofl

P.S. Not all of us have the NYC accent. Western NY people have a accent all to their own.

Oh yeah Blue, do you know of the O'Connors from the Buffalo area? Don't ask me what school they went to because all I know is they are here now...and they are spoiled. That western NY accent...that's like Canadian/New York,.

Theres tons of O'Connors in Buffalo. Theres a huge Irish population in WNY. Sorry, I dont know them.
-
CC, just thought I'd throw it out there. And I'll give you the wings that's a good one:aok
-
Yeah, I guess I gotta agree on the wings.

Lake Erie is one of the best lakes for small mouth bass.
Lake Ontario has good muskie and steelhead fishing.
The Adirondacks' have great skiing.
Some of the best colleges in the country. Cornell being one of them. Not many are known for their football teams.
The Yankees. (Cant wait to here about that one)
NY is not the best state but its better then a good deal of them.
I thought people in NY were dangerous, stuck up, and plain old mean. But then I went to California for awhile. Changed that opinion fast. In the total of 3 weeks Ive been home in the past year of my service Ive had more handshakes in those 3 in NY then I did total in uniform in California.
This argument could go on forever with everyone saying pro's and con's. But then theres the trump card when it comes to NY. We have hillary.

so stodd 26 world championships is nothing to be proud of?
BTW the sabres are losing to the worst team in the NHL 4-0 and its only the first period.

Actually, we had a family reunion in upstate NY some years back. Nice little resort with stupid fish that jumped on your hook ~ great view ~ good playground for the kids ~ roomy pool. It was pretty nice. A few of the nicest pictures of my kids that I have are from that trip.

I lived in a nice little township (on a farm) called Hugo, Mn. But I moved because;
The wages suck in MN.
My balls turned blue in the winter months.
Mosquitos, biting flies, june bugs and May flies suck.
We measured distance in minutes when growing up.
Down south to you means Iowa.
Snow tires came standard on your car.
I hated Fargo but then realized that a lot of my family had that accent.
The local Dairy Queen is closed from December through February.
I was instinctively walking like a penguin for three months out of the year.
I'd get mad when I saw Green Bay Packer sticker on a Minnesota car.
I got tired of SODA being called POP, not SODA.
A summer vacation meant "going up north."
Every January, from age 2 to 13, my sisters woudl talk me into putting my tongue on a steel post.
The first time I saw "Grumpy Old Men," I thought it was a documentary.
To this day, every time I see moonlight on a lake, I think of a dancing bear, and sing, gently, "From the land of sky-blue waters.....Hamm's the beer that's so refreshing..."
I got tire of trick-or-treating in 3 feet of snow.

I kind of figured that was what it was but am curious. How many of the worlds countries actually participate in the world championship elimination process for that sport?
-
New York City sucks. The rest of the state is really nice though...well, except for Buffalo.....and Rochester.....

They stay pink/brown if you keep them zipped up.

I like the Bills, but I HATE the Yankees! Was born into a Boston-lover family!
I live in Rome, NY.

Funny I live 50 minutes south of Boston but have been a life -long Yankees fan. But I also hate the Pats so I am at least consistent.

There is nothing wrong with measuring distance by time.
