Had the pleasure of flying back from Toronto in first this evening seated next to Charlie Pride. He's a very nice guy. Spent most of the trip listening to funny stories about tours and such in various parts of the world. He's also quite a philosopher. Mr. Pride had been performing at Niagara.

About the most enjoyable flight I've ever had.

He is a wonderful country singer and not this new kind of country but that sweet old country. Im glad you got to meet him sir

Did he write that song " Ican see clearly now the rain is gone"?  I've heard of him and he always seems like a nice guy. Nice down to earth humble people, especially performers seem to be getting scarce today. They don't make them like that anymore.

A country western singer of the old school....who just happens to be black.

One of the best of all time....at least in my humble opinion.  A real gentleman.
