Had the pleasure of flying back from Toronto in first this evening seated next to Charlie Pride. He's a very nice guy. Spent most of the trip listening to funny stories about tours and such in various parts of the world. He's also quite a philosopher. Mr. Pride had been performing at Niagara.
About the most enjoyable flight I've ever had.
Added this link for the youngsters...

He is a wonderful country singer and not this new kind of country but that sweet old country. Im glad you got to meet him sir
Kiss an Angel Good Morning This was a wonderful song if I might add.:aok

I had the pleasure of meeting him in the mid-80's. You will never meet a nicer guy.:)

heh - when I used to tour, we had a nickname for him... "Chunky P" :)

Saying Who? to Charley Pride Is like saying Who? to Chris Ledoux.
-
Chris Ledoux?
Hes a senator or something right
-
Did he write that song " Ican see clearly now the rain is gone"? I've heard of him and he always seems like a nice guy. Nice down to earth humble people, especially performers seem to be getting scarce today. They don't make them like that anymore.

A country western singer of the old school....who just happens to be black.
One of the best of all time....at least in my humble opinion. A real gentleman.
