Will Kirk ever admit his secret desire for Spock? Should the Federation allow same-sex partners to command Starships? Oh ..... and marry?
Will the answers here make Missouri a better place to live?

Those questions.....are..not logical.

Heard that Adam Sandler Hanuka song today, lol---Kirk and Spock were in it (....."You can spin a dreidel with Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock--BOTH Jewish")

:lol :lol :cry :cry

That's just wrong.

You forget that Vulcans only mate for procreational purposes. After all, there is no other logical reason to have sex, other than to continue your species.
Why would any Vulcan ever engage in recreational sex, when they could instead enjoy a good logical game of chess??

P.S. - William Shatner was past over for the upcoming new Star Trek film. But Lenonard Nimoy will be playing the elder version of Spock, while ''Heroes'' vilian Zachary Quinto ( Sylar ), will play the new young Spock attending Star Fleet Academy. Actor Chris Pine will play the new young Kirk, Bruce Greenwood the first Enterprise Captain Chistopher Pike, Jennifer Morrison will be the young Dr. Carol Marcus, who has a love affair with Kirk and bears his child, Winona Ryder plays Spock's human mother Amanda Grayson, Simon Pegg ( of Shawn of the Dead fame ) will be the young Scotty, and Karl Urban will be Dr. McCoy.
JJ Abrams, of TV's "Lost" Series fame, is the producer. Insiders have been absolutely raving about the quality of the script, and how it ties in so many Star Trek characters together. Many are predicting it will be a big hit.
The original Enterprise itself is finally getting a makeover, which I think is appropriate. Here is a sneak peak at its new updated look:

I always thought Vulcans go thru that emotional state? What is it "Pan Far" or something where they go ape before they finally get a chance to lose their logical cherry?
Remember that episode where Kirk has to take the Enterprise back to Vulcan so a whacked out Spock can pop a nut? Then Kirk has to fight Spock?
Anyone that worked up aint doing it just for logical reasons. I guess Vulcans have issues getting wood unless they go half nuts. And really when you think about it they aint much different then other species.
Except for Aussies who'd rather guzzle beer with their mates.

Remember that episode where......
um for me....not likely :p
all i do know is that in a fight between Captain Kirk and Captain Bald Guy, kirk would own so badly even a klingon would get wood.

Yep, I was right. Ive been a trekkie since 1966.http://trekguide.com/padd/tos34.htm
""""Episode Title: "AMOK TIME"
Production Number: 34
Original Air Date: 09-15-67
Stardates: 3372.7
Synopsis: Under orders from Admiral Komack at Starfleet Command, Sector Nine, the U.S.S. Enterprise is headed for Altair Six for the inauguration ceremony of its new president after a long interplanetary conflict.
Commander Spock has been behaving erratically and has not eaten in three days, and Dr. McCoy is concerned about his behavior. Spock demands that Captain Kirk allow him to take a leave on his home planet, Vulcan, but Spock is reluctant to explain the urgency. When the inauguration ceremony on Altair Six is moved up by a week, there is no time for the Enterprise to divert to Vulcan, but Dr. McCoy says Spock's condition is getting worse and the pressure building in his system will kill him in eight days.
Spock reveals to Kirk that Vulcans have an ancient mating ritual, called the Pon farr, that requires that they take a mate at a specified time or they will die. The subject is seldom discussed with outsiders.
Knowing that Spock's life is at stake, Kirk disobeys orders and takes him to Vulcan for his arranged marriage to his wife, T'Pring. But when they arrive for the ceremony, T'Pring claims a ritual challenge, and chooses Kirk as her champion to fight Spock to the death for the right to marry her. Spock is in the Plaktau -- blood fever -- and cannot refuse to fight. McCoy gives Kirk a triox injection to compensate for Vulcan's hot, thin atmosphere. Spock fights Kirk until Kirk is strangled, and McCoy declares him dead.
With the challenge over, T'Pring explains that she wanted Stonn to be her consort -- since Spock has become a well-known legend among Vulcans -- and knew that if Kirk won the challenge, he would not want her as his wife, and if Spock won, he would leave Vulcan anyways, so it was logical for her to choose Kirk. With Spock's Plaktau over, he returns to the Enterprise, where he learns that Kirk is alive, only temporarily knocked out by a neuroparalyzer in Dr. McCoy's injection.
Starfleet Command approves of the Enterprise's diversion to Vulcan, based on the request from T'Pau, a respected Vulcan official. The Enterprise resumes a course for Altair Six. """""""""

I understand your hesitancy, mate. I'll ask you there. ;)

Ok, that's it. Now I KNOW I'm boycotting this piece of ****.
If they could leave the 1701 alone in the DS9 episode. If they could leave the 1701 alone in the Enterprise finale. If they could leave the 1701 alone in EVERY @#$%ING VISUAL REFERENCE FROM TNG THROUGH THE END they could have left it the @#$% alone in THIS one.
There wasn't a DAMN....THING....WRONG with the original design.

The new design is far more sexy.
Just look at the warp drive engines. They now look rather phallic in nature. :lol :lol

Well at least Scottie croaked in real life and we wont have to hear, as they zoom past warp 9, "Capt. the engines no canna hoold dinna this speed mucha longa", with that freaking Scottish drawl.
Yeah Scottie. By the third episode we knew how fast the bloody thing could go without stressing the engines.

Yeah, they should have made it look more like ..... wait ...... they did, didn't they? ;)
-
This looks more like something from the TNG Movie-era. Which is EXACTLY the same complaint I had for the ship design in Enterprise (it was evern MORE blatant then. All they did was flip the Akira-class upside down :p ).
The one and only piece of GOOD news I've heard about ST XI is that that image is a HOAX.
Unfortunately from all the other things being changed, I WOULDN'T put "revamping" the 1701 past them. Which is UNNECESSARY. The design is fine, all they need to do is add in more surface detailing (render the hull plating and deflector shield grid, but leave the rest alone!)

See what can be done with just some surface detail?

Did you ever notice that in the 23'rd century ugly woman didnt exist. Neither did fat ones. But it was the Klingon woman who really impressed. Imagine a date with one of them? That is after you shaved them, showered them, and made them brush their fangs.

Dude. There ain't nothing generic about Jolene Blalock:
This:

Compared to this (I even picked a good "old" photo):

Saavik was hot because of the performance. All T'Pol has going for her is the catsuit.
T'Pol was WAY overstated and loses mucho points for trying too hard. Saavik > T'Pol

I never really appreciated Alley's performance all that much. It didn't really stand out for me. The chick in the first one with the shaved head got my attention at the time.
I think Blalock has OK acting chops (for what's required) and was, unfortunately, about the only reason I had to watch the few episodes I did. Nothing like the decontamination lotion scene right off the bat :) She just looks exotic.
