When are our politicians going to wizen up that private citizens carrying can be a good thing?
Also where were the armed guards that are supposed to be stationed at all financial outlets in this incident?

A private CCW could have kept this guy waiting until police arrived. Kudos to the female staff member who chased him to the car park, that took guts.

Well, you have to remember that not everyone wants to carry a gun, not everyone has the ability to use a gun, not everyone would have the mental attitude to use the gun even to protect their own life. John9001 said so, so it must be true.

That maybe so but there will be enough of them, particularly since the dramatic increase in armed invasions to make them think twice one the first bad guy cops it.

Looks like beetle has broken cover again.

I didn't know a CCw was required to have a gun for home defense. Yea umm it's not at least in this country. So if the guy wanted to have a gun for home defense he likely would have had a gun for home defense.
What makes you think had if he had a gun, thast he could have gotten to it? Most people that I see whom own guns keep them in a secure place specially if they have kids around.
On the second one.. What makes you think if the guy in the second event would have been packing that anything would have been different?
One of the men, wearing a balaclava and carrying a duffle bag, shoved a pistol into the face of staff at the credit union about 3.30pm.
Sounds to me like he most likely wouldn't have had a chance and grab a gun to protect himself and it's very likely had he tried to he would have been dead.
There is nothing wrong with using or owning a gun for self defense.. However it's pretty idiotic to sit here second guess every crime that happens, saying "if they had a CCW or a gun" John T Citizen Rambo" would have saved the day.

Well, in some parts of this country anyhow. DC has denied that right to citizens. Let's hope the Supreme Court restores their denied constitutional right.

yep... not everyone is willing to protect themselves... not my call.. what happens to them is their call.
that doesn't mean I will go unarmed in some sort of empathy action..
They make their choice and I make mine.. just the way it should be.
