Title: Film viewer head position bug
Post by: Krusty on December 16, 2007, 10:56:21 PM
When playing back a film of last Friday's FSO, I noticed that the film viewer on several occasions moved my head WELL outside the cockpit. On one situation it moved me halfway along the wing briefly before snapping back into the cockpit. Erratic head movements were not what I was using while recording, but they come out that way in the film many times.

Can you send that film to me, Krusty, at sudz@hitechcreations.com?

Here's the thing... It's a big film. It's 2 hours of FSO. 31MB. When I use start/end select and copy select, then view the "new" file, the exaggerations are reduced. For example, in the original file, it shows the head position moving straight down 50 feet (below the plane's belly) but in the copy select produced file, it just drops to the floor of the cockpit level. I'm going to zip and send the 31MB file.

EDIT: Sending now. P.S. I've got a trouble ticket in to my e-mail host, folks have been getting mail to me bounced back for no reason. You might not be able to reply.

Edit2: Finally done sending.

You can actually save a default head position in the Film viewer, so it doesn't do that. (F10) Like in the game. I noticed this same thing and was like wth! Then I pressed it, and it was remarkably fixed (for the time being)
