I think it would be cool if bases that are on the coastline could have pillboxes on the beaches that you can get into with the Gun/ship/field. make it more like D-Day or the invasion of Sicily.

Most of the already have a handy dandy shore battery that is quite effective at killing ships, landing craft and GV's that are not wary of it.

I would rather have 88's at V-bases to deal with low flying bombers.  The manned ack is just to weak for bomber defense.

I like the idea of pillbox with some soft of Anti-LVT guns in it, other then the SB

The shore battery mounts an 8 inch, which is quite a bit larger than
your average pillbox/bunker gun.  Having a 75 or 88 mm would be an
interesting addition.

I like the idea.  Would like to see the manned ack at fields beefed up to a larger caliber, mounted in some sort of revetment or pillbox.  The 8 inch guns rarely have the field of fire necessary to engage anything approaching the beach, and with the slow rate of traverse and fire, they make for a very clumsy club to weild.
