I've recently discovered Anthony Bourdain's show on the Travel Channel and I'm hooked. I really like the "off the beaten path" approach he takes. I also identify with his sarcasm and sense of humor.
Anyone else watch his show?

I enjoy it quite a bit. Bizarre foods is also interesting sometimes but the host annoys me.
-
Bizarre Foods is definitely hit and miss. I'm also not that much into eating all the weirdest **** I can find. That and the host is annoying.
At least Bourdain finds local foods that actuallly look and sound appetizing most of the time. Besides, seeing a Brooklyn native dress up in CSA greys and ask "When do I get to kill me some Yankees?" is priceless.

I've been watching Bourdain since he was doing basically the same show on Food Network, must be the sarcasm and off colour humour.
-
Bourdain is a heavy drinker, smokes and has a great sense of humour. The Bizarre food guy obviously puts things in his mouth that I find bizarre...food too.

I've been a fan of Bourdain's for years. Straight, honest commentary. Rare these days. Check out his writing at: Bourdain Books (http://www.anthonybourdain.com/copy.asp?g=1&id=6)

Diners, Drive-Ins And Dives is where it`s at.
Talk about your obnoxious host. :)

Anthony Bourdain: "Better enjoy your foie gras now" (http://www.reason.tv/video/show/155.html)
Caution. It's a libertarian site. If you're far left or far right, your head might explode.

I've caught his show a few times while dozing off in bed (that's what TV is good for, putting me to sleep). I enjoyed the shows I've seen. He does smoke and drink heavy. At his age and weight, he won't be long for this world.

Yeah....can't stand that show at all. It's like a 15 year old that loves the spotlight and being on TV a little more than he should.

I've watched both of the food shows and I find Bourdain to be very repetitious and very much taken with himself. He has some good episodes but I think he's a bit too self centered. The Bizarre food guy is really way out there but to me is more entertaining. I'd never try a lot of the stuff he has eaten on the show. That stinky tofu, and gross fruit he gagged on was really nasty.

His weight?

If he handled hiking in Tibet, he's still got some life in him. When I was there, I was the only person who didn't need regular sips of oxygen. Of course, I was also the only person in my group under 30, or 50 for that matter.

Anthony Bourdain Noooooooo Reservations..ahhh
One of my favorite shows to watch. I love how true he is to himself and not some poser hiding any flaws.
My favorite episode was the one w/ DeeDee Ramone at that fancy new age restaurant. The chef that was making their food is the new guy on Iron Chef America.
Best show on TV... well that and 'Little People Big World' is pretty interesting :)

Anthony Bourdain is just friggen cool!
I watched his original show on the Food Network, which was the same basic premise (except he was going by Tony, then).
It's different, and I like his smarmy, off the cuff humor; and a great attitude. Gotta love anyone these days who thumbs their nose at the excepted PC Bull***** by smoking and drinking on his show....and making a point of making it obvious.
