hi. when i am trying to land i push the G button to open the gear but they wont open.

In order for your gear to come down you need to get your airspeed below 200 mph for most aircraft.
The F4U series aircraft will extend gear upwards of 300 mph though (don't recall the exact airspeed).
cheers,

As RTR says, you're probably just too fast to get your gear down. I think most planes require you to be flying less than 160 MPH to get your gear down, though.
The F4U series uses gear as an airbrake, so they drop at higher speeds. 400 MPH is ok with those, but they'll creak a bit...

I had someone on the help boards that described landing an aircraft as nothing but a controlled stall. Slow is the goal! I usually shoot for 150 MPH or less (depends on the plane). I started landing successfully after that. You will see some more experienced pilots hot-rod onto the tarmac, but take your time and do it right, and your landings will become easier and a bit faster.

Try remapping your gear to a different key see if it works then map it back to the 'g' key.
