Title: Computer resets every time i try to run AH2

just bought a new graphics card (HIS 2600XT ICE Q Turbo 512MB AGP)
Did a full format of drive first and reinstalled XP and other things.

Ran OK for a week or 2 but not when i run AH2 sreen goes black then computer resets.

When windows reboots box comes up that the system has recovered froma serious error

any ideas anyone?

Power supply would be the first thing I would suspect.

been thinking that myself as it requires 450W and i only have a 400w:D

fitted new power supply 580W now, tried AH and still the same reset.
so i rolled windows back before i installed my virus software and AH is back running again.

im now confused about what is the problem.

Possibly drivers, service packs etc. Also, did you reinstall any patches etc you put on...(done that, was a pig to find out)

So your computer did a hard reboot even after the new power supply?  That's pretty odd.

somtimes i get the black screen - but no puter reboot - that is strange - sounds like a power supply over heating problem

When i get the black screen - i go into windows folder - htc - and delete the video file in the settings folder and restart game - my problem is my video card is onboard and it cant handle the graphics well - still looking to upgrade to a new vid card - but for some reason santa decided this year that my kids needed presents from me instead of him..... so I wait.....
