It's not the best designed tool. For instance:

"It's natural for children to keep some secrets from their parents."

Are they asking me if it's right or if I'm aware? That I accept the act or I don't accept the reality?

Anyhoo ....

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -5.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.23

Danger Will Robinson. But didn't look as deep as Mandela or the Dali Llama.

There's no question I'm libertarian, judging by my score.

Economic Left/Right: 4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.13

The World's Smallest Political Quiz (http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html)

this one's better, IMO.  Questions are worded too vaguely in the compass one.  Plus, mine's shorter.

Actually, he's probably all for making U.S. wealth globally mobile. Sell jobs for profit. Replace them two McJobs for one so the unemployment rate makes everything look rosy. ;)

No, but it wasn't my choice.  When it is, I won't be driving one.

It's not so hard to get to an 8.0.  It happens when you see government royally **** up the economy every time they try to do anything with it.  Natural logic would lead you to believe that the best thing for the economy is for the government to NEVER touch the economy.

Your favorite test is a little biased.

I'm not really a libertarian, but it scores me as one, almost 90% in fact.

I scored a 1.5 and a 1.7 on the other test, by the way, hardly libertarian.

That's where you're confused. You think you can only vote for a "party." The "straight ticket" voting thing is not a requirement. Avoiding it isn't even frowned upon by some. Politics isn't a "sport" to me and I don't cheerlead teams. :D

Again, it's not a sport to me. It's not a gambling event. I vote for people to do a job. Not agendas to do a job on me. If more people tried that, then the rut can indeed be broken out of. Think about that for me. If ya want.

However Arlo and I seem pretty much of the same political frame of mind which is no surprise to me...

Though spiritual and very much a christian I am not a bible thumper and I saw a lot of questions pertaining to the right that paralleled religious dogma.

I am strongly opposed to the state making criminals of women who get abortions and that is probably a big part of the reason it shows me left of center instead of right of center.

Free enterprise and thus Business is the engine of our economy, not an enemy, and needs preferential considerations but business is not always innocent in its dealings with its employees or the public sometimes.

There should never have been a need in the first place for unions and though I oppose the political manipulation of unions by those seeking power, unions were a necessary evil with some but not all businesses.

Case in point... forcing the Railroads to maintain the position of "fireman" after steam locomotives were phased out is total nonsense to me.

Stupid loaded questions left out alot of important ones.

Here's my political stance:

The man can kiss my oscar.  He needs to stop taking so much of my hard earned money and giving it to the lazy mo fo's who won't get off their butts and got get jobs.  He needs to stop taking my money and building billion dollar bridges in Alaska that go to an island with 40 people on it.  He needs to stop taxing me when I buy a car, and then keep making me pay taxes onit every year I own the thing.

He needs to stop telling me that porn, alcohol, and weed are bad for me and let me decide on my own.  He needs to keep his nose outta my house.  He needs to get his cops from behind the bushes with radar guns and put their butts to work solving murders and catching rapists.

Schools shouldn't be gov't funded baby sitting... either the kids learn or they get kicked out.  Schools shouldn't be standardized test processing facilities either, let the kids learn and have a little fun every now and then.

Stop funding the arts, if you can't break even doing the nutcracker, apparently people don't want to see it.  Stop bailing out busineeses with billion dollar loans, if they are ran that poorly, they deserve to go belly up.

Cut back on all the useless regulations.  They just end up costing the consumer more money in the end.  Try some of that free market stuff that we used to preach was so much better than communism.

Don't get me started on gov't health care.  I've changed doctors for the baby because I was tired of being in a waiting room with 50 other people and realizing I was paying for EVERYONE because they were all on Medica.

Here's a great idea for uncle sam... why don't you flex some of that political/economical might and tell OPEC that you are going to buy oil for $30/barrel and if they don't like it they can sell their oil elsewhere.  Within 1 week they will have so much oil sitting around they'll have no choice but to back down and give in.  Or we can go with the good ole fashioned Seventeenth/Eighteenth century way of doing things... let's just go over there and take over.  Not regime change or any other PC crap, just go over and whip the crap outta them and make them a colony,  Who cares if that's all non-PC today, it worked fine for hundreds of years.

Well, here it is again. The Political Compass test is far from perfect, but if you've taken it before, you can measure your change by the original baseline you had from before.

Where are you today?

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.03

Your political compass

That compass is broken.  There must be a magnet on the left because I don't swing -2 on the Social Libertarian/Authoritarian.  A few questions were a bit vague.

I've take other compass tests before and I've scored pretty far right.

I am Seth.

Uhh, according to your graph there, Obama, Biden, Clinton, and Edwards are all further right and further authoritarian than I am. I SERIOUSLY doubt that.
