Doesn't sound great, but plays at the correct rate of fire.

I'd do the other guns, but they are too fast for AH to play.. the limit is somewhere between 1/10th and 1/8th of a second.
I might trim the other feasible gun sounds later.

How about if you made it into a 3-4 round burst... or would it loop poorly?

I hate those. They sound like you've got way more guns firing than you really do.

It never sounds right Dux.. the only way those work is when there's a separate end sound for the last gun that fires.

That host expired and I don't have the file anymore.  Anyone have it?

punt...

Deleted all my AH stuff a while back so I had to make a new one.  Also found the old one, so I'm posting both here in case anyone's interested.  It's much easier to keep an instinctive feel for how many rounds you have left without having to look down into cockpit, because you hear exactly what they're doing every time you fire.

Old one (http://dasmuppets.com/public/dlamb/30mm_2.wav)
New one (http://dasmuppets.com/public/dlamb/30mm_1.wav) from one of the sound packs

Gonna make more of em to choose from, if those from other sound packs have a different sound to em.

I've trimmed a few of the other 30mm sounds and it seems (proof you can never ignore good ol reality check) that the MK108 (which btw historically couldn't be sync'd - fired thru prop) in AH fires at roughly 606rpm.. so the above sounds get out of sync.  Only a problem if you fire very long (relatively for any shots where you ought to care about expenditure) bursts.  Will need to run more tests to be sure of this lower ROF than "official" 650rpm.

Also seems AH sync'd 151/20s fire @ ~636rpm with the prop stopped.  Tested only on the 152 but don't see why it wouldn't be about the same range of ROF within "official" 600-750 rpm ROF if the other 190s run at about the same rpms -- So the 151/20 sound could also be trimmed to sound pretty close to its actual rate.

Haven't checked if the gunfire sound duration can go much lower than with the old AH sound system, ~.9 sec

Here's three other 30mm sounds made from sound packs' tater sounds.  Didn't make any from the other 30mm sounds found in these and other packs as none of those sounded different enough.
