are all those values correct? I've heard it takes 2k bombs to take down FHs and VHs (which I thought was true)...and it does say at the bottom it is "subject to change" so I am curious if it is current.
Thank you!

Yes, they are current and correct.

Wow....a CV's down time is only 5 minutes? I did not know that (thought it was 10 min).
What's up with the "Other ships" downtime of 1 hour? Does that mean you can sink a cruiser and it will reappear in the fleet if the CV manages to survive for 1 hour?

Thanks for the info guys...I made the charts into clipboard maps if anyone wants to download/install em...thought it would be nice to have it in-game at my fingertips.

usualy hangers i drop either 2 1k bombs and six rockets.
or 2 1k bombs amd the 500lb bomb from the jug
this kills hangers easy when i get a direct hit.
im getting quite good at atcack bombing jug is my bird of choice right now.
till i learn to pull a 38 out of dive every time. i like flying it too.

2-1K bombs, and 5 - 5" HVAR (direct hits) will destroy a hanger. I usually fire 6 for accuracy errors.

That should not be enough to take down a FRESH hanger. That falls .2132 of a 1k bomb short of hanger hardness.

cv respawn time is 10 min and HQ is wrong

Yes, you're right. Those were corrected, but the revisions were not uploaded. Sorry for the confusion, and I trust we'll get it changed soon.
CV respawn time is 10 minutes and HQ hardness is 37,500 lbs., not 37,000 lbs.

According to Arena Default Settings, max HQ downtime is 180, which would be 3h rather than 2h ? But then all other strat targets have 3h max downtime under default settings too

Let me try to demystify some of these settings and values for some who may not be aware of it (not meant for Lusche, LYNX or some others...).
1. You can find object damage values under Arena Settings on the clipboard by creating a LAN or off-line game.
2. The values for damage by ordnance and projectiles is based on a standard, using a 1,000 lb. bomb and 1/1,000 units of it. Maybe we could say a "damage unit"= 0.001 of damage from a 1,000 lb. bomb.
3. The equivalence of "damage units" for projectiles (bullets, cannon rounds, rockets, etc) has been determined by testing. There is no data officially published by HTC.
4. A fighter, bomber or vehicle hanger requires 2.7812 damage units to be destroyed. Obviously, 3 - 1,000 lb. bombs will do that. It can also be accomplished through a variety of ordnance.
5. A 500 lb. bomb is not equivalent to exactly 0.5000 damage units or 1/2 of a 1,000 lb. bomb. It is 0.5680 damage units, which means it is 568 lbs. So, you could actually destroy a hanger with 5 - 500 lb. bombs.
5x0.5680=2.8400, which is > 2.7812 required.
As murdr pointed out above, 2 - 1,000 lb. bombs + 1 - 500 lb. bomb = 2.5680 damage units. (hanger)2.7812 - 2.5680 = 0.2132 units short of destroying the hanger.
So, the values of ordnance required for destroying objects have been simplified in the charts.

I don't get a 500 lb. bomb not being 1/2 of a 1000 lb. bomb. How does a 500 lb. bomb have more damage units than it's name implies? So 2 500 lb. bombs do more damage than 1 1000 lb. bomb?
-
The 500lb GP bomb had a better charge to weight ratio than the 1,000lb, hence 2 x 500lbs have more destructive power than 1 x 1,000lb bomb. In real life where you may need to concentrate as much energy as possible on a hard target, that is of little concequence, but in AH where damage is mathmatically cumulative, it has an effect.
The most up to date version of that table is here (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/strategy/stratguide.htm)
-
Murdr,
The table on the HTC website still says 37K for HQ.
The down time for a CV is correct at 10 min.

yea probably but from now on to be sure ill just use the rockets and 1kers lol
ill save the 500lb for a gv or something.
oh yea how does kilograms convert to lbs?
i thought it was like 2.5/1
i heard that the 1800kg bomb is equivilent to about 4k lbs of bombs?
is this close to acurate?
-
1 KG is 2.2 pounds.
-
i though the vh went down with 2000 IB
-
yes 1800kg is the same as a litle over 4000ib

If we go by Mensa's numbers 1800 kg is equal to 3960, or a little LESS than 4000 lbs.
Spend more time in school splitatom, and I don't mean in the "detention hall" :D
