Title: ping plotter
Post by: dhaus on December 20, 2007, 08:22:29 PM
How can I paste an image of ping plotter to the forum?  I'm getting some very bizarre things happening in the game that "just can't be."  Would like folks to take a look and see what's going on.  thanks, Dhaus

Upload the image file that PP spits out to your favorite image hosting site. Then use the (http://) tags to link to the image here. Or, click the IMG button on the reply page and insert a link to the image hosted on the site of your choice.

Well, I figured out the ping plot, even though I still can't post it.  At hop 4 in Richmond, I'm getting between 30% and 75% packet loss.  I suspect this may explain why I keep getting shot down within 5 seconds instead of the usual 10 or 15. The IP on that hop is 68.86.172.222.  Is this the information I give Comcast to see if they can do anything about it?

You could attach the picture in an email. Send the email to you ISP complain department. You might send it to Skuzzy, but the most he can do is tell you want you al ready know, that you have trouble at the 4th hop.

Comcast users are all having some level of problems with packet loss and will continue to do so.  Partly due to the new packet shaping system they are using which is adding a burden to an already burdened network, and partly due to the Christmas holidays.
