I didn't know brands back then....and I'm here to confess.
I am a Microbrew Snob.
My favorite brewery by far is The Pike Brewing Company (http://www.pikebrewing.com/) in Seattle, Washington.

I love going up North and getting an Oak Creek Amber.......yum!
If I can't have the micro-stuff, I usually am sipping a Sam Adams (winter Lager this time-o year), Fat Tire or Dos Equis (sp?).

Good stuff! :aok
My standard "everyday" stuff is ESB, by Redhook (another local brewery) I like Fat Tire too. I don't usually do the Mexican beers except during the heat of the summer.

Fat Tire has become my favorite.

In some of my songs I have casually mentioned
The fact that I like to drink beer
This little song is more to the point
Roll out the barrel and lend me your ears
(chorus)
I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow)
Whiskeys too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact I like beer
(he likes beer)
My wife often frowns when were out on the town
And Im wearing a suit and a tie
Shes sipping vermouth and she thinks Im uncouth
When I yell as the waiter goes by
(chorus)
Last night I dreamed that I passed from the scene
And I went to a place so sublime
Aw, the water was clear and tasted like beer
Then they turned it all into wine (awww)
I like beer. it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow (makes him feel mellow)
Whiskeys too rough, champagne costs too much, and vodka puts my mouth in gear
Aw, this little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact I love beer
(yes, he likes beer)

Currently, I reside in Mexico del Norte or as some people call it, Phoenix. Mexican beer is to Phoenix as Coors Light is to Golden, Colorado.
Regardless, going to the Yardhouse is one of my favorite outings. Over 100 beers on tap, many micros.

My personal favorite. Almost the only beer I drink anymore, after 4 years of German beer, most American beers taste flat to me...

Repoman, I usually hit Tempe once or twice a year for a Mill Ave. romp near ASU. I'll have to hit the Yardhouse on my way down. Looks great:aok
-
I remember Anchor Steam Beer, we use to drink that when we went to the 8th Street Marketplace in Boise Idaho for pizza after rafting trips... good stuff... but not a good as Shiner :D
-
Gonna be on Mill on New Years Eve for the Fiesta Bowl Block Party. The Sooners will be in town to show WV how to play football. I go to the Yard House at Desert Ridge Market Place by my house. They know my name :D

I have yet to find a domestic beer that can stand toe to toe with Warsteiner!

I'd agree with that. :aok

Thank you Jimmy Carter for allowing us to home brew!

Best beer I ever tasted was a particular draft pilsner in a biergarten in Munich.

If you liked that stuff (Sorry but IMHO it is awful), you should have tried this:

The only problem is you can't get it in Blighty :( only 'Brewed Under License' cr4p!!!

It was explained to me that the extraordinarily good tasting Bitburger I was served was due to it being delivered fresh daily from the brewery and it was sanitary but not pasteurized thus it's natural carbonation was preserved and due also to the Reinheitsgebot.
I didn't taste any bad local German beer but I don't like lager and prefer pilsner thus no Bud for this girl.
I suspect any beer import is not going to taste as good as local fresh beer.

I hate the fact that Whitey decided that 40 oz was too much and reduced the largest size down to like 32 or something crazy like that. No biggey, I still grab a bottle of OE and some Mad Dog, 2 black and mils and have a good night.

Just so there's no confusion, this is not me as a baby. That is all. :D

I discovered Shiner Bock when I lived outside Houston, good stuff... Living IN PA we'd order a "lager" and it was assumed we were ordering a Yuengling. More good stuff...
ya'll will get a kick out of this... The LEGO Beer Song! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATBl4qH9I54)

a can of cheap PBR every so often is good for the gutters.

You folks would LOVE Germany.
Just about every hotel and restaraunt has their own micro-brew and thinks nothing of it.
Sure, you can get brand names, but the local beers rock.
My favorite is Pilzen for a brand name import
Shiner is the best in the USA, hands down.

Hell I thought it was you as you are today. :huh

When we are in Tejas (proper spelling for proper pronunciation BTW :p ) we drink Shiner. I like the Bock and the wife likes the light. In other areas of the country we normally buy Mich Amber Bock for me and Light for her. If I don't see the Mich, I'll go with Dundee's Honey Nut Brown Ale.
