I'm into R/C warbirds.....I have a P-51 Miss America otw....I want to put a sound system in this fighter....ie...It has to be very small but has to be loud.
My Idea is to have the sound of Machine gun fire ...bombs dropping and missiles going off...it has to be trigered buy a servo....which I can handle....I just need to find a small recorder and a speaker that can be loud enough to hear on fly-bys!! Thanks!!

No matter what you do its gonna sound weak and fake.

Yea you may be right :(

Try a motorized cap gun mechanism. Using roll caps should give you a decent burst or two. :)

You might be able to get a directional horn speaker that could at least focus the sound in one direction... The length of the speaker would be a limiting factor but maybe...

having done R/C for a while with my grandpa I just don't think you'll find a compact speaker thats powerful enough to be heard over the engine. let us know if something works though!

The power needed to make much sound would be great. A air induced whistle type thing might make a lot of sound however. Or the servo could open a valve in the muffler…
