That dog will be one constant ball of energy bouncing off the walls and driving you nuts.  But you will love it.

Every dog is different. My wife's first chihuahua is well behaved and never chewed on anything she wasn't supposed to. When she got a second one I foolishly expected the same. When my phone charger stopped working and I found the cable chewed up I began looking at my guitar cord, phone cords etc.... All suffered the vicousness of those razor sharp little teeth. I'm just glad she didn't find power cords appetizing. Well, maybe she did. She did seem to suddenly lose her taste for cords.

Congrats on the new puppy.

I had to coat on particular lamp cord with hand sanitizer to stop it from being chewed in half.  Hand sanitizer tastes nasty.

Ty. She isnt a ball of energy that is bouncing off the walls yet..... She is a lot smarter than my other dog IMO.  She doesnt use the bathroom in the house...... she goes outside and was crate trained for nights in 2 days.

I have a Jack Russell and I will warn you that they need to be entertained. They require LOTS of exercise so make sure she gets it. Otherwise, say goodbye to anything cotton or Barbie doll shaped in your house. (I have three daughters who own 247 toe-less Barbies now)

Overall, best dog I have EVER had. Except he likes to bark at 2am at his best friend, our 1 year old Cat. Wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't on the bed between the wife and I. :)

:aok
Title: Terriers
Post by: alskahawk on December 22, 2007, 06:19:40 PM
There's a cutie! My wife loves terriers so I tolerate them. She's had a Rat, a Wired haired fox and now a Smooth Hair fox terrier. And the names; Rat; Jimmy(he came with a name), Wired; Miles Duke of Foxmoor, Smooth; Gentleman Jack Bingley of Rosings Park.
They are natural hunters. I happened to look out in the yard one day as a sparrow tried to BnZ the smooth. Quick hop a little twist of his head an, no more BnZ.
They are all ornery, feisty and annoying. But life is never dull with a terrier. Personality that's what the wife calls it. I call it annoying!:)
