Skuzzy,
I was discoing before (not the dance) and have got it down now to if I log on at 9:44pm, I will disco at 10:44pm, then relog and an hour later disco again. It works okay for me as I now know when I am gonna disco but am still getting this loss. Can you think of anything that could be causing this besides my ISP? I have a cable internet and am not running wireless, and have rebooted both modem and router many times. Thanks!

My guess is it's your ISP. Being cable, and being the way cable shares bandwith it's probably done in an attempt to keep bandwith and speed as high as possible. You get 60 minutes then have to relog. Puts an end to very large file transfers. You can probably call your cable company and upgrade your service so this doesn't happen.

Sketch, check your router settings. it may be set to reset every 60 mins. just a guess.

I already know the issue with my ISP. Once it hits Level3 area is when things go bad...
My question is why is it almost on the hour all the time though.... I am not relogging, I am connected 24/7, and it just started happening about 2 months ago, was clean before that.

Check yout IP address before and after. If it changes odds are the connection is being reset by your provider. Under normal conditions a DSL connection will be reset about once every 2 weeks.

Holmes, I checked through my router stuff and have no setting in there as far as time-wise issues and such or renewal things... I am using a WRT54G Linksys router and it is set on the Automatic Configuration-dhcp. Anything else you can think of....
Oh, and I have about 10k of perks and you can have them all if you fix it... :D

I have a WRT54G router also, it doesnt do that to me at all.
May be your ISP

Could still be your isp m8. Next time you log on, check your ip (there should be a page on your router giving you that info). Once you get disco'd, check again - if the ips are different - your isp are doing things their end (and until they finish, there's not a lot you can do unfortunately)

I have to agree, it sounds like a slow response to a DHCP renewal. Your IP address may not change at all. It doe snot have to change for the renewal.
Send an email to your ISP's support and ask them point blank;
What is the DHCP renewal time? And why does it appear to take a while to get the renewal done?
See what repsonse you get.

Mine did that as well , on the hour .
I found out that my ISP was flushing the router every hour and I was getting a new IP address after .
To fix "mine" I had to get a static IP address , now it works fine . I got the static address from my ISP , cost me 5 bucks a month for it :(

Check with them on this Skuzzy and asked them what you told me to ask. Everything is good on my end and like Airspro I already have it being held for me. It is basically the Level3 guys that are causing disruptions. So, I guess I will just deal with it for a few more months till I get back home... Thanks for the help!
