Can you believe only $30k? or yea think maybe it's 30K EURO's? Either way seems kinda cheap, but then again I haven't priced Jet's very often. Should I go trade in my Tacoma.. :D

If so that's roughly $60k which is still not very much for a jet aircraft.. My guess is it's likely 300k and just a misprint.
-
What a beautiful jet! If it's really that cheap, however, I don't envy the buyer the maintainance due.
-
Last flown 1992 should be a clue that it's gonna take more then 30K to get it going again.
-
oh id say it would take a lot more then 30k....im guessing around maybe a full million or more?? But dont hold me to it. Would all depend on superstructure and engines and everything else!

found a little info here, may or maynot be all reliable but could give you an indication...

I think this is G_HUNT, seen in the static at Oshkosh last year.

Yep that's it - N611JR

Info correct Nick.
G-HUNT has been up fpr sale for along time now with a price tag of $50,000. Way too much for a non airworthy Hunter. Last i heard it had quite a badly corroded wing.

Would she be restorable to flight?

She could be restored, but it will be expensive.

It would only be worth $60k to me if they also included the 4 ADEN 30mm automatic canons that the Hawker Hunter carried into battle. These guns fired projectiles at 2,470 fps that weighed a half pound.
That works out to 47,409 ft/lbs of energy at the muzzle. Compare that to the Browning 50 caliber machine gun cartridge's 707 gr bullet at 2,800 fps giving 12,307 ft/lbs of energy, and a .30-06, which produces less than 3,000 ft/lbs of energy.
Here is a photo of a Hawker Hunter that is privately owned in the UK:

Note the canon barrels up front. With the UK's tough gun control laws, though, I doubt that they are from real guns.

Pretty jets
While they sound appealing priced less than a new Cessna Skyhawk, be wary of just how much it costs to have a jet engine serviced, TBO, etc.
That "deal" can quickly become very, very expensive.
If I could, I'd love to own an L-39C. Lots of nice examples out there.

The article said it was is currently located at Oshkosh, WI and the price was stated in $.
Gotta be a catch or a misprint.
My last new car came close to $30 K.
Pilots with a single seat plane usually miss not being able to share their plane with others; can't take them for rides in it.
I went checking on the net... this is a single seat aircraft.

There was a Hunter for sale in Van Nuys 2 years ago, it's maybe still there. Guy wanted $75,000.
A chyropractor owned one in Chino couple of years ago, said he couldn't fly it because he couldn't find a 2 seater one to get checked out.:huh

L-29s sell in that range all the time. I saw one for $40k while I was plane hunting. I sat back and dreamed for a few minutes, then snapped out of it when I did the math on how much fuel would be.

Yea there was a guy whom had a older Mig down where I used to live. He was doing some study with Hurricanes and used old Mig fighters to run out and seed the clouds with it.
It used to cost him a small fortune to fuel them them, but I bet it was a hell of a fun ride.
