Hello gents,
I just purchased a Saitek X52 stick and I'm wondering how you guys set the trim wheels if it possible to do so?
When I map the wheels on the throttle to RPM and trim they only trim the surfaces out maximum one way or the other, there is no middle ground.
I was hoping I could use the wheels for fine-tuning trim.
How do you guys go about it?
Cheers.

I use the large wheel on top for RPM, the sider for elevator and the smaller wheel for rudder (have switched to aileron at times to try it out). In addition to the basic X, Y, Z and Z-rotation, they are the only controls that i have mapped in AH. The rest are in SST. If you have mapped them in AH and they are still either max or min then try recalibrating them.

inside AH, I set the rotors on the throttle for manual trim. The small one next to my left thumb is my elevator trim (Used allot) and the large rotor on top is rudder trim (never use). I have the (C) button on the jstick as combat trim on/off.
Make sure you calibrate the rotors properly inside AH as they are axis inputs to the game. To calibrate, you need to roll the rotor through the top and bottom limits of the rotor and then set it to center before "OK"ing the calibration close. If you do not center the rotor, the movement will be limited as the game will not recognize the entire movement range.

I will try it again.
