Just came back from a trip where I spent a day at the 8th Air Force Museum in Savannah, Ga. What a wonderful time. Took lots of pictures. Check them out at my web site (http://snomhf.exofire.net).

the best part about that museum is the library

Indeed. Told my wife (who was laughing at me for spending eight hours at the museum) that I needed more time because I only got an hour in the library. They must have every book ever written about military aircraft there.

Sad thing is, I've lived here (Savannah) for over 2 years and still haven't gone there yet.

I was there many years ago and it was nice. Looks like they've added quite a bit to it since then. The model airfield is an impressive piece of work that any scale modeler should check out - each aircraft is meticulously done in with good piece of detailing. I was there for almost 3 hours and never made it upstairs to the library. Definitely worth a 2nd trip!
