2x MK103, 4x MG151/20, 2x MG17 (or possibly MG131). The 410 is definitely on my wishlist.

IMO we don't need the P-40N much. Sure, "it would be nice" but it was behind the curve of what was already in the war and fighting when introduced. Folks would say "But I love the P40 we have now, I'd like a better one" -- only the P-40N, should we ever get it, would have a much more realistic flight model than the first-generation P-40B and E models we have in-game. If they ever get updated to current (third-generation), they would most likely lose a bit of their effectiveness, as they will fly much more like 1939 and 1941 aircraft they are.

I've no doubt we'll get the Airacobra some day, but all we can guess is "2 weeks."


I'd rather see the G.55 (hey, I can wish!), the ki43, the ki44, the g3m, the g4m, the he111, the ju-188, and the ju88a-1.


But, we'll eventually get the P-39, don't worry.

1) turns a helluva lot better, tons more manuverable (262 is a BRICK)

2) 4x hispano 20mms, less punch but WAY better to kill with

Other than that, I'm not looking forward to jets as much as other planes.

I as a Bf.109 pilot (yeah I play Il2) have trouble dealing with the p-39 from the deck to about 4-5k (meters) until my DB.605's supercharger makes its presence known and gives me the speed advantage.  Yeah, down low the P-39 is pretty beastly to contend with.

But in IL2 every plane flies exactly the same!

At least in AH they all have little unique characteristics that give them a feel and handling of their own.

I also think the overmodeled P-39 of IL2 (absurd power, docile handling) won't compare to whatever HTC chooses to model when they put it in here.


Again, "when" as I'm sure we'll get i, just not sure when.

I think the excuse from the coders is they were too busy making the game look pretty and the one flight model was 'good enough.'

The meteor would be easy to kill a 51 could get it easy compared to the 262. 262's a nice plane if you know how to fly it.

IL2 is a good game, I like the management of engine heat, fuel mixure, mechanical engine failure due to engaging the nitros below 5k (meters) in a 109E-7/N, or not throttleing back before engaging the nitros in the 109G-6/AS (RPM spike causes the failure of engine).  Did I mention contrails, the lack of icons in the full imersion servers (yeah there is free multiplayer over hyperlobby, voice over Teamspeak).

That being said, I do miss the AHII comunity.  I most of all miss my squadies and those of the comunity of which I was friends with and liked to pick with.  Hopefully one day my job will allow adaquate time to return to AHII, but for now my limited flight time does not warrant the subscription fee.

Not to stay off of topic, so yeah the p39 is a beast of a plane down low.  I am sure HiTech will model it well if he ever decides to do so. :aok

Yea but thats from il-2 i hate that game dude, its the worst/wierdest simulator ever, its complicated, to turn on your Engine why cant you just press E?? instead you press I lol.......but p-39 is a good plane on it though
