CVS here has their valentines day crap out, and right next to it is their easter candy.
WTF?

Thats so 2007.

I'd be willing to bet it's leftovers from last year they are trying to unload before the new stuff arrives. The Valentines stuff just hit our warehouse Friday.

That's horrible, stores save the stuff to unload the next year? Like ~ foodstuff?

Dunno, but on the floor they had a stack of floor displays of valentines and easter candy that are still sealed. Looks pretty fresh
Mini eggs, creme eggs, etc. Almost cracked the case open myself to buy some creme eggs

Yep, unless it's out of date they don't have to say it's last years stuff. If it is out of date they can still sell it but it has to be marked down.
In Texas, it's perfectly legal to sell "out of date" if it's marked down and no visable signs of spoilage or damage.
