How's this for a New Year's resolution? After 36 years, hundreds of suspects and thousands of leads, the FBI still wants to solve the case of D.B. Cooper.
I'd like to see this one solved. :)

I prefer they put their manpower to work finding out who killed two innocent Mothers at the Dollar General in Killeen, Texas July 4th, 2007. The Killeen police ain't doing squat.

You're very right. I'd rather see that one solved far more as well.

Nobody is working it. It was just two women with 5 childern depending on them.

Talk to the press. The only way to get it moving is to get their attention.

Oopsie, I went back & deleted the part you responded to.
That's a real shameful thing on their part rpm. Sorry to hear that.
Just after that one of the former employees of my company (lived just a few blocks away from that Dollar Store) was shot & killed in his home.
Nobody's workin that one either.

Been there done that.
Yeah, Mom. I don't hold the KPD in very high regard. Prototypical ticket writing non-crime solving local yokels.

Ever thought about putting a PI on it?
A good one can not only do some awesome work in a short time , but can also build a fire under the behinds of a small PD.

Most p.i.'s I have delt with are a far cry from Magnum, Simon & Simon or Jim Rockford.

i've meant to ask you about that rpm...didnt want to open wounds tho...
last i heard that had suspects or leads...i take it none of them panned out.
that just sucks. noone should get away with that chit.

They got squat, 88. They had a person of interest but nothing ever came of it.
I'm trying to get the Texas Rangers to take over the case.
-
i hope they do take it rpm.
i really hate the idea of people who are capable of such things being free, much less breathing.
don't give up brother. keep pushing. i

I am Bubba, I am. I've written Governor Perry, but I have little hope in him taking up my cause.
I did make sure her kids had a good Christmas.

Thanks, bro. I'm not the only one. Her best friend has taken the kids into her home. Their father is now under investigation from the Social Security Administration and the IRS because he did not spend 1 penny of Karena's SSI check on Karena. He did manage to buy a lot of new goodies like laptops, cell phones and a plasma TV. A complaint (I wonder where that came from??) got the ball rolling on that. Checks are now being sent to someone else.
Karena is a quadrapalegic with cerebal palsy. Luckily, her little sister Jennifer is far too wise and mature for her age and as soon as she turns 18 will be named legal guardian for her big sister and 3 year old brother.
The only reason I have'nt tried to finger their Dad is the kids were with him when it happened. Yeah, he could have hired someone to do it but he is a broke, drunken, useless piece of (Skuzzy won't let me say).
I'm still mad I did'nt kick his useless arse for strutting around at the funeral but I did'nt want to upset the kids. Wrong time, wrong place.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wouldn't have thought it would have been all that challenging from your description of events. Almost like you would expect a former/current employee who knew the routine and who could be identified, etc.
Maybe I've been watching too much "The First 48" lately. The guys who do this stuff seem to be pretty dim, overall.
You're doing good by her memory with the kids
