can we make names longer than the 8 or something around that number it is kinda anoying
-
Why? Do you really want to get shot down by "DerekDaBombDiggityKilla"? Everything has to have a limit and the name limit just makes people get creative with how they present their names, or they choose to be a zip code.

I gotta agree with Nirvana on that... Longer names would just open the door to more obnoxious names that skirt past the filters or border on profanity.
One thing that would be helpful however would be (not sure if this is already done) if inactive names would be purged after a set number of months (like 12)...
I think currently the system holds names indefinitely if they are attached to dead accounts. There are probably a lot of good names that were taken by someone 2 years ago who hasn't played (or paid) in 18 months.

First someone wants names to be 10 letters instead of 8.
Then someone wants them to be 12 letters instead of 10.
Then someone wants them to be 15 letters instead of 12.

YES! Let's change the character limit for CPIDS!
I've always wanted this as my CPID, "Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG".

Although I wish I could make mine "ThunderEGG" instead of what it is now, I agree with the concensus.
