Title: flask in the tower
Post by: texasmom on January 02, 2008, 11:36:44 AM
My son (being the good boy that he is) was playing under my husbands name today, and wanted to know why there was booze in the tower. :rofl  :rofl

There use to be a flask in the P38L to the right of the seat, and a bottle of whiskey in the F4U-1. They lost those when they were updated though.

If you are in a Hurri IIC (I think), look down to the floor of the cockpit.  On the left hand side is a Texas Longhorn logo, cleverly disguised to look like a crack or tear in the side of the cockpit material.

All the Hurri's have it.  Is it any wonder that such a mighty bread of plane should bear the mark of such a mighty school?

Does someone at HTC also have blood that flows the color of the Texas sunset?

In the P47N look right and you will see a very ugly alien on the wingtip.  Look left and you will see William Shatner bug eyed and drinking heavily.  For those you dont get this I am very sorry for you.  For those that do you are very old.

Well, I suppose it has been a good run of late for the little aggies.  They manage to beat us the day after Thanksgiving, and one aggie manages to catch a typo of one of his Texas superiors.  Bravo little aggies.

Anyway, no excuse for my sloppiness, but I am rather busy managing all of these little aggies that work for me, so I am entitled to a typo every now and then...  :D :aok

In the lobby there are a pack of “Lucky Strike” cigarettes that have “Superfly” on the side.  I can see this and that rest of the “Ready Room” w/ my TrackIR!

Why a flask in the tower?

Because "It looks like I picked the wrong day to quit drinking!"
