Title: Seeing Friendly GV's On Map
Post by: DoNKeY on January 03, 2008, 12:11:57 PM
Is it a game play balance thing for why we can't see the locations of friendly gv'ers on the map like we do for pilots?  Of course they would have to be a different symbol, but whatever.

I like launching and giving air cover to the 4-5 gv'ers who take the time to go after a base in the middle of nowhere, and plus it gets me away from the horde, but you can never tell where they are.

I think it could clutter up the map. Also as tanks are not that maneuverable, it's often pretty easy to guess were they are, with spawn so close to enemy or friendly bases. 1 mile doesn't matter much when you are in a plane trying to cover them.

Also, when trying to precisely locate a friendly GV in range, hit shift-F4 for a moment - their icons will show up at exactly the same long distance as any friendly plane icons.
