Yep, I think the 2 - 7 am times are Eastern times. Supposed to be a great show for N. America :)

Gee whiz ~ tooooo cold for me! I'm the whimpiest eskimo in the whole wide world. I bring shame upon all of my people. If it dips below 50 deg. I'm in triple layers & sipping hot cocoa & whining about how cold it is. I'm not even gonna go check it out. I will see if there's any left-overs when I smoke a morning cigarette ~ that's about it. Other than that, I'll check out the pictures on the internet instead. :aok

I have a friend from Texas, she says she likes cold weather but we obviously have different perceptions of what is cold;)
Yesterday it was 10ºF with strong gusts of wind, so it was -7º with windchill. Me being the intelligent person I am went outside to take pictures with my new camera of the mountain/snow scenery.
I'll be out to take pics:aok

Forecasters expect a brief but intense peak of 50+ meteors per hour over Earth's northern hemisphere sometime between 0200 UTC and 0700 UTC on Friday morning, Jan. 4th. (Subtract 5 hours to convert UTC to EST.)
So really its going on right now!
Check the time here

Thanks so much meatwad :)
Check me out assuming that everything runs on EST! :)
Nice job.
I'll smoke before hitting the rack then & check it out!

I remember few years ago when I lived in Rovaniemi (http://maps.google.fi/maps?f=q&ie=UTF8&hl=us&q=Rovaniemi&z=8&iwloc=addr&om=1) , there was -58F (-50c)
Town was like dead, most cars couldnt run at all, air felt really dry. I had to go out just because I wanted to know how it feels. It was quite cool.:)

Yup. I saw the same thing.

I lasted about two minutes then said. "Screw this. I've seen them before. I'll wait for the one in August."

Having not seen anything in virtually every recent predicted skyshow, I didn't see anything this time either. Then again, I knew better than to waste my time going outside and looking. :p
