Wild Card Weekend
Seahawks over Redskins - Probably hardest for me to choose. Redskins are hot, Mike and Mike this morning said they reminded him of the 05 Steelers. But as much as I hate both teams, The Seahawks look like a better team.
Steelers over Jaguars - Well you know where I stand and I know the Jags right now are a better team than Pittsburgh. That being said, I think the Steelers find some way to win this one and head to New England.
Giants over Buccaneers - Giants go to Tampa and play like they played against NE and leave with a dominating victory.
Titans over Chargers - Titans go to San Diego and make them look like the San Diego of earlier this season. Biggest Upset of the Weekend.
From I have read I have picked all the Upsets.
Place your picks....
-
The opposite of what you just said minus the Giants pick.
Those are my picks.
[edit]Just to be clear:
Jags over Steelers.
Skins over 'hawks.
Giants over bucs.
Chargers WAYYYYYY over Titans.
-
Seahawks over Skins
Jaguars over Steelers
Giants over Bucs
Chargers over Titans
-
Redskins over Seahawks - Let's go SKINS!
Jags
Giants
Chargers - I don't think this one will be close at all
-
Skins over Seahawks (my upset pick)
Jaguars over Steelers
Giants over Bucs
Chargers over Titans
-
Skins over Hawks- Refs give Rip fits
Steelers over Jags- only on the basis that everyone thinks the Jags are gonna win
Chargers over Titans- who move on to upset Indy
Bucs over Giants- Just going with a trend here. Every team that played New England close didn't have anything left in the tank the following week. Indy, Philly and Baltimore all played emotionless the following week and got beat
-
Steelers beat Jags
Seahawks beat Redskins
Bucs all over the Gints
Titans over Chargers (can you say Norv Turner?)
-
Seahawks over Redskins
Stealers over Jaguars
Giants over Bucs
Chargers over Titans
None of these games mean a thing. It's gonna be Pats vs either Cowgurls or Green Gay, both of whom will lose to the Pats.
-
Oh, we're picking the Superbowl outcome as well?
Brady ***** slaps Romo in front of a worldwide audience and impregnates Jessica Simpson. All before half-time!
That's how he rolls, yo!

Haha, Rip. I was just telling someone earlier today how Seahawks fans were still whining about that Super Bowl. Seriously, get over it.
On to the picks:
Seahawks over Skins. -Seattle is a very experienced playoff team and has proven to be a tough out. (ask the Cowboys)
Bucs over Giants. -there is a lot of good defense being played in TB. We'll see bad Rex, err... Eli.
Jags over Steelers. -Jax run game too much for Pittsburgh (who lost their number one back for the season a few weeks back.)
Chargers over Titans. -Norv Turner is a poor HC, but he has too many weapons and won't lose until he faces a top notch offensive team in the divisional round.
Divisional round winners will then be Indy, Jax (big upset pick and wishful thinking), Cowboys, Seahawks (it pains me, but Holmgren knows how to win at Lambeau and has a more complete team than the Pack.)
Conf. Champs- Cowboys and Colts.
Super Bowl- Colts
Of course if Jacksonville doesn't get it done in New England, no one else will and the Pats will win it all, bleh.
-
Here's the Vegas odds of winning the Super Bowl:
New England Patriots 2/5
Indianapolis Colts 4/1
Dallas Cowboys 6/1
San Diego Chargers 8/1
Green Bay Packers 10/1
Jacksonville Jaguars 10/1
Pittsburgh Steelers 35/1
Seattle Seahawks 40/1
Washington Redskins 50/1
New York Giants 60/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 65/1
Tennessee Titans 100/1
-
I'd like to see Tampa Bay win. Not because I'm a fan, but every piece of evidence that shows McNabb and Andy Reid as incompetent is good in my book.
-
Seahawks over Skins
Steelers over Jaguars
Giants over Bucs
Chargers over Titans

-
Skins over Seahawks - Skins still playing for Taylor
Jags over Steelers- Steelers prove my son right in being over rated
Bucks over the Giants -Manning again returns to form and reminds us all once again that he is not his brother.
Chargers over Titans in a close one

Holmgren is 2-2 against his former team, with only 1 win at Lambeau.
For the record, the Seahawks were 7-1 at home this season and are 34-7 at Qwest Field since Week 16 of the 2002 season. Only New England's 35-7 home mark is better during that span. Since 2001, Seattle is 42-14 at home, second only to the Patriots' 45-11.

Skins
Jags
Giants
San Diego Super Chargers... Go Chugers!

My crystal ball sucks.

Nah, it's not your crystal ball. The refs have been blowing calls for the 'skins. Right Rip? ;)

We got robbed when we knocked the ball out of collins hands, the refs said it was seattle ball, then they reversed the call 1 min later after talking to Gibbs and called it incomplete. Watch the reply, his arm was not moving forward.
Either way, we're playing pathetic now....
-
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! DEFENSE! GOOD NIGHT REDSKINS!
-
Our Defense stepped up in that game. Our QB has one of his worst games of the year, yet we win 35-14 due to an AWESOME defense.
I wouldn't be too cocky if I were a GB fan.
And I doubt Matt will be claiming a win in OT in GB this time around as well. ;)
Now, game 2....GO JAGS! BEAT THOSE STEALERS!

You win due to the Refs. If I were a seattle fan, I'd be really quiet about boasting about this win. Just wait to actually win the next one, then be proud.

Agreed It should have been 42-7 Seahawks.:aok
How many times did Matt throw to Springs side of the field? Now you Skins fans know why we didn't pay his contract when he went to renew it. :)
-
That one long pass ended the Redskins' season. Emotion can be ridden only so far. The Seahawks will have tough pickings outside of their nest.

Yep. We'll be the underdog in GB. If we beat GB (long shot) I say we'll go all the way to the SB. :aok

Two bad calls when it was 14-13 ruined the tide of the game. If I really was a skins fan, I'd be asking for the resignation of all the refs on the field. But I'm not.
I'm just here to rain on your parade.

At least I'm specific about the plays, you're just blowing smoke as usual. Don't you have a family to troll? Oh, I guess not :lol

Fine. The punt return run back when it was 14-13. The refs called a bogus blocking in the back call on a return team member who had the kicking team member intentionally turn his back in front of him, ending up losing the Redskins roughly 25 yards.
Even if you discount this entirely, in the next few plays Collins throws an interception. There were 3 blatant blocks in the back committed by the return team, any of which should have called back a touchdown run.
I could go on, but that was the moment that the refs really, REALLY prison-shower raped the Redskins.
-
Wow, Heinz Ward just proved that you can grab a defenders face mask and get pass interference! Good to see the Stealers still got a few zebras on the payroll!:rofl
-
Wow, Rip, taking one from the Liberal playbook: make excuses when the truth is inconvenient!
BTW, Seattle's offense was mediocre today. The defense, as you pointed out, saved the 'hawks rears. If the offense doesn't find a way to move the ball against Brett it's going to be a loooong day for Hasselbeck and crew.

Don't confuse general incompetence with a genuine conspiracy.

If you didn't see Ward hanging onto that face mask then you need a new TV. Even the announcers were shocked.

Also, this just in!!
My picks are looking like TEH SUK!1!!11!

Kyle, check your PMs.

Jeesh, I didn't say it didn't happen, only that you don't need to be "on the payroll" to poorly officiate a game.

Ok Xarg, checking PM's...

Bye bye Steelers!:aok
-
Ward was latched onto that guy dragging him along. He got away with a big one. Justice prevails though.
-
Didn't catch the early game(congrats seahawks), but the jags-steelers was a great game to watch. I was impressed by the way the steelers hung in there and came back to take the lead.
But the two point conversion was a poor play and executed terribly. It seems like they don't practice that situation enough. And then to play not to lose, the kiss of death. A QB run play on 3rd and 7? You need to get a first down and win the game, run some plays you have in the back of the playbook, but don't just lay down and give them the ball back. Once the Jags returned the punt to the fifty, I knew they gave the game back.
Good job by the Jags, they made the plays when it counted, congrats

I misinterpreted this last night to twee too many martoonis. My apologies!

And, my apologies to Nefarious for slamming the Steelers, as much as I hate them sometimes I cannot help it when I'm tipsy. ;)
Sorry to see your Steelers out of it. They gave it a tough go last night 2nd half.
-
Go Bucs!!! :) (http://www.buccaneers.com/cheerleaders/teamphoto.aspx)
-
I really liked the "quiet. Ben is working" sign they put up on the mega board.
Was it just me or did Ben Rothlesburger seem extra slow in the pocket last night? The guy never did have lightning moves, but last night he was like a freaking turtle.
-
The Steelers are the kings of comebacks.
Just this season alone we have had several, not always for wins, but enough to make it not look like a pathetic loss. Both games against the Jags were decided in the 4th quarter.
Overall, I am pleased with the Steelers performance this season. To go to the Post season with a rookie head coach, the tremendous turn around of Big Ben and the #1 ranked Defense in the league. I think we had one helluva season.
The worst aspect of the season was our O-line, Ben lead the league in sacks and while its his responsibility to avoid them, he can't do it all by himself. Alan Faneca may be the best Guard in Football, but he didn't play worth a poop this whole season, I'm glad the Steelers didn't negotiate a new contract with him. Like many overrated Steelers before him, he can go somewhere else with his ridiculous demands.

I'll take 3 out of 4 correct. I was only a 4th down and 2 yards to go from being correct about the Stealers/Jags game.:aok

2 for 4.

Super Bowl winner will be...... Jacksonville. Just because.
I'm just happy Pats lost there first 3 draft picks!
<---Jet fan since birth
Just a question, who do those picks go to? The first 3 teams in the draft?

I'm much better at predicting last week's games. If time ever starts running backwards I'm set. :D
