You're making a big assumption: That a new player to AH can't know what he's talking about when it comes to the online flight sim genre. I cut my teeth with WB 1.x and 2.0, but have been away from online flight sims for years until now.

"Stick stirring" does not cause warps.
Did you have a look at your net status when this was happening? Did it happen at a certain distance every time? The closer you get the more info comes across to your computer (basically).
And just as a gentle prod, these types of threads generally don't do very well here on the BBS. If you think something is questionable, send the info direct to support at hitech creations. Don't bring it here.
As far as bailing Buff drivers goes...heh..well it happens to us all. It's thier $14.95, and I don't get worked up about it.
cheers,

Try typing "F4U-C 10K" to warn your wingman... :D
-
I typed "hi F4U" once and it said "Continued use of profanity will result in lose of text privlages" or however it goes. :rofl
-

You had a tone.

No one is "given" a cpid. They chose one.
The chance of his keeping it are probably slim though :)

The obvious answer to this is to just not give him a check 6 call, or any other help for that matter. Don't forget to mute him lest he cry about you not helping.

Yes, but the method of filter is different, they keep locking/reserve possible offensive ID's so they are not available, and people keep comming up with new variations. For instance, Im sure that particular ID sans the "er" has been locked for years.
Trainers report bad ID's routienly since new accounts often pass through the TA. A .report or email to the support address is the best course of action when spotting a questionable ID. Saying it out loud on an open channel OTOH, probably isn't.

What's really screwed up is using the automated Check 6 . . . I tried that with this player tonight. Press button, should be automatic PM of "Check 6," right? Nope -- got the dialogue box saying I had typed an offensive word, blah blah blah. :rofl :rofl

what if his irl name is P. Hucker?? :huh

With guys that use a child's intellect to create names just send an e-mail to HTC . They don't last 24 hours...... :aok
-
i dont even bother with these people. try to help them and you get in trouble. try to check six them you get muted then you just want to switch sides and beat his arse.

Id trade the chat filtering for a means to block local squeakers hitting the profanity hard when Mommy isnt looking.
Nothing ends my flying faster than the endless profanity on vox while flying with the kids nearby.
Yes, I have headsets...but sometimes its nice to use the surround speaker system.

err... maybe a noob question but can I ask what is stick-stirring? seen it mentioned before
-
When a bomber pilot bails or discos, he chalks up three deaths while you save ammo and fuel.
Mission accomplished.
-
I got a profanity warning for saying "watch out high Yak" on range channel.
This is mod thing is getting ridicules!

Picture a jackhammer in one hand and a joystick in the other...a series of very quick, herky-jerky X & Y axis movements. Conventional wisdom (dunno how true it is) assumes that stick stirring produces an overload of data to the front end, producing packet loss which results in warping.
