A Toyota supercar?
Yup, but marketed as Lexus...
This is getting scary... We are now seeing the birth of a super car (or a Luxury GT) with efficient Toyota engineering:)

Here's the Lexus concept... still testing at The Ring where the test mule did
7:24 (http://www.autoblog.com/tag/nurburgring/) on that very demanding track.
The LF-A looks 100% production mode to me if they just add side mirrors. This one is not as polarizing as its distant cousin... the Nissan GT-R;)

Hiya Uncle Ben!
I'll hand it to the Japanese. They can make some cars look good. But not classically. Has some nice lines but most Japanese styling to me looks bland in about 5 years. About the only Japanese car that I think has timeless lines was the RX-7 of the early '90s.

Ah yes, 1K3 has returned in full farce.
Honestly, is there not an automotive board some place you can spam with this stuff?

More like the Lexus LA-7

What is your problem? Why did you even bother to post in this thread?

rear view mirrors = no
must used cameras.

LOVE the guage setup.
I hate the way the speedometer and guages look in most of the new cars these days but that one is sharp as hell.
Only problem is with these new fancy cars usually comes with new and more complex fancy doodads.
And one rule that will always hold true is the more complex something is.
The more things there are that can and typically do.
Break.
As Scotty said.

I think it's completely "on topic" for this forum. Apparently a lot of others do too. I didn't see you complaining about the prius thread... It's a subject of interest to a lot of people here and I'm not sure why it matters who posted it any more than if lazs posted a picture of an interesting musclecar or firearm with the comment "neat", or chairboy posted a picture of a money pit... er... airplane, with a suitable comment.
Since it obviously bothered you though, I prescribe one cream soda and an hour in a comfy chair watching the sunset tonight
Back on topic... That car looks mean. Aggressive styling without too over-reliance on the faster and furiouser stereotype. If it's really fast, then all the better. My only question of course is if it's "better" than a GT-R.
To be "better" imho, it better be pretty much as fast as the GT-R, giving up only a miniscule amount of performance in return for added luxury features. Price... Well, it doesn't LOOK cheap, and that may tip the scale even more towards the GTR.
Now if the GTR had styling cues that were a bit more *ahem* respectable, then I'd call the LF-A just another overpriced lexus coupe that falls badly short in the bang/buck arena. But since it looks like the styling puts it into an entirely different category, then "good enough" performance might make it a reasonable market competitor.
IMHO :)

Is this the one that sounds like an unmuffled LeMans prototype? The new GT-R doesn't sound all that great... For mere mortals who don't drive these cars at 9/10ths, that sound might be enough to make more than a few buyers forget the odd looks of the Nissan and get this instead.

Watch inside view of GT-R while it's tearing tracks. Engine note is like a vacuum cleaner.
