By "taking on the oil companies" the democrats mean... "we will make sure that the price at the pump is as much as it is in europe."

"making the rich pay" is code for raising your taxes.    

amazing how many refuse to see it..  or.. are so short sighted that they think that their first job in life is as high as they will ever get so anyone making a buck an hour more than them is fair game.

Federal taxes are 3X what evil corporate profits are on a gallon of gas, but bashings corporations plays a lot better to her base
