I was on a long buff run last night to pork 157 and came home with only 1 fat ucker. When I finally came to a stop, the Freebirds were parked, in formation, about to roll out. Here's the pic I snapped from the nose of my 17.

you should see 71 squadron's big sweeps!

imagine seeing 20-30 ponies or spits, or mossies or something lined up on the runway like that ;)

what do you want to know about them?

they're just some random things i do for fun using AH screenies that i touch up a fair bit and do things to. they're still nowhere near as good as i want them to be, i have loads of cool ideas that my photoshop skills won't quite allow me to do yet, as i'm still learning the basics really, but i think they're greatly improving by each one i do.

I know but having flown with  them several times I'm sure they were on their way to cause some trouble!:aok  They look good while doing so!

SAPP night, heading out to bomb an oil refinery, ala the 10 June 1944 Ploesti raid. And we got decimated just as badly, I think only 4 of us made it back and 2 of them (myself included) were badly shot up.

speaking of which actually, i was thinking of starting a new one tonight, not done one in a little while, might be fun :D

We were practicing engine starts.  Having just rejoined the Freebirds, they were teaching me the wonders of the key "e".  That three engine pony is Junky trying to launch his 110 with us.  Or maybe he was just trying to mate with a pony. :D
