The original title, suggested by a squad mate, was vulgar but along the same principles of the current title.
Happened yesterday actually in the MA, returning home with a shot up 262 after some exceptionally poor flying against B-17 HQ raid. Being impatient as I was and down to one engine, I attempted a landing too fast and with too little run way.
The end should give you a chuckle or a 'you lucky sob.' The ending was not planned and swearing was frequent on vox with a joyous praise at the end. Also gave me a few more attempts with working with the new camera system. I only uploaded it to youtube since it wasn't worth my time to do anything high quality.
Enioy.

WOW!:O
I'd love to find out how you made the fly-by view running from 0:36 - 0:42. That was incredible!
-
That was hilarious. I love how the tail came off.
Now we're going to get n00b questions about the thrust reversers on the 262.
-
ROLMAO, did you take landing lessons from Corky? :rofl

I used this using the 'World Relative' setting. In this setting (as I'm discovering because we have no real tutorial from HTC), its like a stationary (or moveable camera in my case) that follows wherever you point really. Where as 'Plane Relative' follows the plane and uses it as a center of focus.

LOL, great landing, MrBucket! :) Did you refuel and take off again? ;D
Btw, you're doing a great job in mastering the new shot system, I hope you'll make a good tutorial post in this forum when you'll feel more comfortable with it. The traveling shot of the touchdown is great! :aok

LOL, were you in the exact same group that did it that same mission of B-17 like 90 minutes earlier in the day? That first group came in lower and I intercepted them around 22k in a G-14. After landing two kills I logged off. Came back on 90 minutes later and found that a new group was in the exact same spot they were in before, but much higher!

This isn't worthless... it's PRICELESS.

Yep, i did and hosted 3 HQ raids, 30mins apart. I was in the exact same group you intercepted at 22k first time, then we went to 27-30k on the next try :D .
The overall mission was about hour and a half, there was the climb out, then we had to assemble the buffs into box formation, then came the fighters swarming the buffs, it was pretty lengthy, but we had 10+ bomber sticks, 11 escorts, fun as hell:D .
As the film must not have showed you, a 262 is VERY slow past 25k. and the buffs were at 27k so all the 262s that were trying to engage us at that alt had a VERY high risk of getting shot down, supprised he was able to pilot his back to base without any problems.

You lucky sob!

That was great landing lol
Reminds me of the time I bounced off one of the rearming pads on landing; didn't cause any damage but actually helped me get on the actual runway
-
LOL, good filming that was really funny:aok
Don

lmao....
Now that is an exceptional landing...:lol
I probably would have tried to throttle up on the hill and get airborne again and died as a result...
But that hey you got a landed safely.
