Title: 789 Chevy
Post by: Airscrew on January 11, 2008, 05:17:34 PM
My dad just sent me this via email....  it looks kinda ok... I might have done it differently... I havent tried to look this up yet, but knowing some of the stuff that goes around through email this is probably a few years old

This car was built by N2A  motors (No Two Alike).  Cost is $40,000 over the cost of a new
Corvette C6 (MSRP $44,000).  Unbelievable!  The company is planning a  production
Run of about 100 vehicles.  It sits on a Corvette C6  chassis, front styled like a 57 Chevy,
Side like a 58, rear like  a 59.  Hence the designation "789".

I'm not a fan of that paint scheme...but that tail end is sweet.

I generally like it and I can appreciate what they were trying to do, but I also dont really like the paint, and I dont like the wheels.   I'm not sure I even like the combo of a 57 and 59 (I dont see the 58 in it although it might be the doors)  I like the old chevys except for the 64's,  those flat grilled, boxy lookin cars some of the uglest lookin cars ever made...

The paint scheme is the only thing I do like.  Two-tone paint schemes are a lost art IMHO.

The Stinger looks very interesting.  Might be something there.  Really digging that one.

Its purdy but the wheels are junk. Put the classic whitewalls back on it and normal rims

no space in the back seat.

where you gonna put all the chicks you pick up with it?

bad marketing decision. really shows it was an engineer that came up with the idea.

if you can afford the car, i imagine you could afford to throw some real wheels on it.

Bleh...  if you are gonna go retro get rid of the c6 mirros and don't mix years.  a potential sweetheart car gone tragically wrong.

Stinger looks like a cross between an older Vette (Stingray or something) and a Maranello.

They should have used white wall tires.. Even if they'd have had to have them custom made.  It doesn't look right at all with those rims and those mirrors.

Was that car designed to be hideously ugly?

All of those cars are just plain ugly, but of course IMO:p

Except for Stinger, that looks like a great ride!

If it was, its mission accomplished.
