Exactamundo! I've watched maybe 5 games since the strike. My choice is still the Avalanche though.
-
Avalanche beat us in OT on our road trip.
-
Wow.....that sucks for you guys. They've really gone downhill from what I've heard.
-
Hockey is the only sport I watch any more.
I'm a disappointed, disgusted, disgruntled (yet faithful) L.A. Kings fan.

Colorado is trying to find there place again. Sakic is getting older, and Hedjuk is injured. There in a rebuilding stage really.
Jose Theodore isn't the goalie he used to be on Montreal.
Islanders just beat the best team in the Eastern Conference, and I think arguably the best in the NHL.

Hedjuk is injured? Thought it was Sakic and Ryan Smith?

Really enjoyed the North Stars when they were still in Minnesota. Haven't taken to the Wild the same way.
Best days for hockey were the late 60s-early 70s when Bobby Orr and the Bruins were rolling.
I know there are guys like Gretzky and Lemieux with better numbers, but no one was more fun to watch then Bobby Orr in his prime. He changed the game.
-
Thats what I get for watching to many teams at once.....
Your right, Smyth and Sakic are out. My bad.

Best time for an islander fan was from 81-84.

Sub, I had no idea you were an Isles fan....I've posted a couple things over the past years about the Isles on here....Big win tonight! (about time). Hopefully the devils will start losing and we can work our way up. At least we are better than the rags =)
Are you in the NY area?
-
Your welcome NYC for the rest of the state paying for your 2 hockey teams.:D

Was to be expected as me Sens had a tough game against the Wing last night and the Isles had had a day off. ;)
Best sport one can watch on the tube. Beats baseball, soccer, basketball, and NFL hands down.

Me Me Me!! Sadly, I'm a Blackhawks fan.
Played Jr A... scrimmaged them a couple of times back in the day.
Denis Savard was the fastest human I'd ever seen.
-
Hockey is starting to get real popular down here in Charleston, SC. We have a minor team and it's fun to watch but I have yet to figure out the rules of the game.

Heheh.. I was lucky enough to skate at Bloomington Ice Gardens a lot for rat time. The visting NHL teams practiced there. I skated with them all... til the coaches/trainers kicked us off the ice... man that was fun.

Those were the days !!!
I was a die-hard Rangers fan, and despite that, I don't think there was a hockey fan, regardless of who you liked, that didn't appreciate Orr's brilliance on the ice . There has not been one player since then that had the same impact on the game of hockey ... IMHO.
Derek Sanderson is another one. Never have I seen any individual in the history of hockey who could spoil the "power-play" opportunity better than him. He covered every inch of the ice without ever slowing down ... was simply amazing to watch.
I played from the age of 5 'til the age of 23. I played on a local semi-pro team for 2 games. The league/teams turned out to be a bunch of no skill "has beens" who's only goal was to maim and injure.
My second game, I had a guy skate from one end of the rink to the other with the sole intent of removing all of my front teeth with a cross check, while I was trying to dig the puck out of the corner.
At the line change ... I went to the locker room, took off my gear, put my clothes on and never played competitively since.

Red Wings fans out there?
Not a fair weather fan either. Been a fan since the mid 80's when Stevie Y showed up in town. Fav player was Tim Cheveldae though...what ever happened to him?
-
<--- Carolina Hurricanes, w000000000000000000 w000 w00000000
i wish i could show the video they have Ric Flair leading the crowd in his trademark "Woo!" after every Carolina goal; it has nothing to do with hockey but that makes it even funnier to me

We have pastures full of hockey around here.......................

I wouldn't be, they are starting to pick it up again. Sure, they don't have the "big contract guys", but they see to be getting a bit better every game.

Everything you need to know. Most of us had to study up here after the lockout.

I give them about 2 or 3 more seasons before they are a big name. For now they will fly under the radar then blow up big and surprise everyone. Just like the Sabres did and now they are back on the decline again. Until then, Im sorry. :D

Hey, i'm an Isles fan! Atleast we pretty much make the playoffs every year!
Even though we always lose in the playoffs......
But we have a bit of a chance this year. Sorta. Not Really.
-
The Sabres have lost in all the playoffs and at the Stanley every single time. :lol All we want is one. Just one.
We gave up on the Bills. We still have our hopes up on our other major team.

<<<-----ME ME ME. Ever since Stevie joined the team. Gotta admire a guy who spends his entire playing career with the same team, then becomes vice pres for the team when he has to retire:aok
Stevie Yzerman. A good ol Canuck

San Jose Shark fan since day 1 of their existence.

Played juniors in Philadelphia.
Still a Flyer at heart.
