One thing I miss about the h2h was the old Free For All servers, every man for himself.

Maybe HTC would be able to add a FFA arena, wouldn't be too hard to do I don't think.  Get a map up and then turn off killshot and I think that'd be it...

Not quite.  A true Free For All would have killshooter turned off so that everyone could up from the same base and shoot each other.

Back when I flew in the Dueling Arena Kill Shooter was disabled.
