You think they are old, blue angles f-16 are from the 70s and they need a consent repair on them everyday that they are used.

First off, The Blue Angels are not F-16s, they are F-18s.

Second, they do not need consent for maintainance in daily operation.

I know, i was a Captain at Luke AFB.  The largest F-16s base and the most trained pilots.

heh...oh man

OK yes, the Blue Angels fly F18's.  They did not start flying these until 86 (I believe...give or take a year).  Prior to that they fly A4's (thats a 4 not a 14), which are so old its ridiculous.

I was an F18 mech in the Corps, and at the time I got out in 86 they were just then looking for F18 mechs for the Blue Angels.  I worked security for an air show that they flew A4's in in 84 and they did so again in 85.

Now, they do need constant maintenance.  Everyday!  All aircraft do, its a matter of safety.

thank you and good night :D

What made the body pitch up so violently fast after the breakup?

does anyone else notice that the gear come down half way through the fuselage back flip well after the cockpit separated. Scary situation but i just found that a little amusing that the gear came down after separation i would think that they controls for the gear would be just behind the pilot seat.

I assume the gear is held up by hydrolic pressure and once the AC broke up the hydrolics failed and the gear dropped.
