Do you get any points for missions if you have joined another player?  I join as a gunner in a bomber when i can and was wondering if I get points towards my score for kills, and being in the plane returning to base.  Thanks,

I think you get perk points. Hadn't joined a bomber in a very long time. I don't think it counts toward your score.

Since this thread is already I figured I'll ask this. Does it count as a death towards your score when you die as a result of joining a single seat fighter as an observer? And does the pilot of the aircraft that shot you down get two kills towards his score? Killing the pilot and the "observer" in a single seat fighter?

In the old H2H days I sometimes received 2 kills for shooting down a bomber with a gunner inside. I only got 1 kill for each of the other 2 drones.

I was asking about a single seat fighter. Twice in one day I was "shot down" while an observer in a single seat fighter. The first time I was killed, the second I appeared in my chute and was captured. Both times I wasn't able to .ef or end sortie before being shot down.

I think it might be a bug, but I'm not sure. I've been killed as an observer, and killed an observer, both in fighters. I think it's a bug because a gunner in a bomber, who is playing the part of the crew, doesn't die with the plane, while the fighter, where the observer can't actually be in the plane, coughs up an extra kill, but only some of the time.

Don't think you gain any perkies as an observer in a fighter. OTOH if you're gunning a bomber, I think you do get perk points...so long as the pilot driving the buff is entitled to them, or you as a gunner shoot down a scoundrel...in which case the buss driver shares in your pts as well.

Does that answer the question?
