Just looked in my HTC folder and there are no screen shots, or the squadron folder. I just went into the MA and took Screenshots to see if they would show up and they wouldnt. Anyone know whats going on???

I still think that after reinstalling, you're looking in an old folder while the Aces High you're running is another copy of Aces High from an entirely different location

There is only one HTC folder in my Program files....

Do you have more than one hard drive or partition? It defaults to C:\.

After working on it remotely for a while...
Anyone know how to FORCE (absolutely FORCE) Vista to take the Read-Only tag off a folder and subfolders?
EDIT: The above thread doesn't seem to apply (yet) as a search through the computer yielded no results for searches containing "ahss" after taking pictures was confirmed.

If you are running an OEM computer that came with Vista installed, then it is using virtualization (a nifty new feature of Vista) to place newly created files and folders in a user path, rather than where they should be.
Just do a search for the folders you think are missing. They are probably in some funky path you would never guess in a million years. This is all automatically done by Vista for you.
If own an OEM vopy of Vista, you can shutoff virtualization immediately after you install Vista. You cannot do it on an OEM computer as they come preloaded with a bunch of software already and switching off virtualization will cause many problems at that point.

We searched for...
HTC, aceshigh.exe, aceshigh, aces, ah, and ahss
and found nothing except the current folder that has nothing in the way of even the auto-generated things like the Squads folder.
To me, it seems the folder being Read-Only is keeping the game from changing its own folder, however just unchecking (un...squaring?) the box and letting it do its thing still doesn't make the folders stop being Read-Only.

Remember to include the wildcard * after ahss*.bmp.
For squad folder do a search for someone you know is CO of a squad and do a search for [CO's gameID].bmp. This should work if they have a noseart uploaded.

Are you guys running Norton Security under Vista? That introduces a whole new layer of problems which cannot be resolved.

To be honest, JD's the first one I haven't refused to help with Vista. That's what I get for giving in. :D

I go to a LOT of businesses in the course of my work, and I've NEVER seen one running Vista on any of their stuff---either XP pro or 2000. (Servers often have 2003)
