Title: R/C Airshow
Post by: Sol75 on January 19, 2008, 01:12:06 PM
They are a TON of fun, I have been flying r/c planes since I was about 6.. so thats uhm... over 20 years ;) lol..
My club puts on a public airshow every year, and I LOVE flying in it.  For our show I fly a giant scale (40% size) Extra 330, an F4U-4 with an 86 inch wing, and an F/A-18E with a turbine engine.
For fun, I also fly a few helis as well.. Have over 20 planes and 5 helis.  Great hobby.  My step-daughter is getting her first trainer this summer, and is itching to get started.  Can't wait!

Definately go plummer, its well worth it!

r/c is way kool (from a forty two year old man that is good)
i flew r/c mig,s for the U.S. army while in germany for everything from infantry platoon qualifacation to A.D.A. units for training! Almost whacked a three star once after a saw, took out most of my radio, landed and refueled one that had over 50 holes in it from m-16,s and saw's.Even flew them at airshows all over. My group flew toghether for the last time at ramstien the morning of the worst airshow crash in history, after that i kinda lost interest for a long time, now im into r/c cars and monster trucks more than planes,i still love too watch them tho!
