Would Russia do it if Iran gets hit ? they have close ties in last years
-
Nah i doubt russia will be the next nation to use nukes. They might be number 2 or 3 though.
-
Can Russia even build nukes anymore? Didn't all of the smartest Russians come to live in the US following the collapse of the USSR?
-
They are building new submarine launched missiles now, and no.. they didnt all go to the us. Some went to the highest bidder tho
-
My brother-in-law was going for a PhD in mathematics about 12-15 years ago but decided it would be a bad move with all the Russian mathematicians flooding the US willing to work for peanuts. He gave up teaching altogether and became an actuary, whatever the heck that is.

The news' article stated that they were willing to use them preventatively-A first strike policy, if there is a nicer way of putting it.
However, I think like you that they won't be the first to use them. It will most likely be a radical organization, such as Al-Queda. Who Russia uses' them on, is the big question.

Russia is just flexing its verbal muscles. They have too much to lose, and their exports are doing great. Only a desperate party or religious nut would use a nuke and Russia is far from in a desperate situation.

mighty russia is still important, pay attention to us. We gots nooks.
-
Russia without the Soviet Union is like France without Europe......a wheezy whiny blowhard. Oh wait
-
Another leader made some threats a short time ago too involving the possible use of nookes :lol
oh and
"Four Republican candidates – Mitt Romney, Duncan Hunter, Jim Gilmore, and Rudy Giuliani – have already expressed their willingness to use "tactical" nuclear weapons against Iran to prevent it from obtaining nuclear weapons. Again, this tracks with the vice president who is reportedly urging an attack on Iran's nuclear infrastructure by next year at the latest."

Lol... we threaten to use nuclear first strike and you applaud. "US being the big bad ass....woo hoo.."
Russia says the same in response...and you act like petulent children.
"Russia ...who are they again?"
The lowest common denominator in both countries will get us all killed.

I fear the same from the left wing liberals.
When your adversary no longer fears you, you will be attacked. When your defense is inadequate, you will die.

The problem is... just like in poker... someday someone is going to call you on it.
It's pure stupidity to tell anyone you would pre-emptively attack using nukes... and it is dangerous. You can see it in this example... we stated it a few months ago... and Cheney STILL wants to do it in Iran.... so here goes Russia calling the ante as the action goes around the table.

i did'nt here any applause! and o yea they are the ones with the 2nd largest stockpile of nuclear ability!I dont think we are a threat to them anymore than they too us,but the people they do bussiness with might need to know that they would use those weapons if needed, against them!! kinda like most of the world would like for us to be afraid of the weapons we sold them. none of these ideas were very good too start with but this is the world we live in! russia sold or may be selling nuclear technology to help its economy just like we sell weapons to help ours, smart,No,, but it happens if you want to fix the problem envent a time machine go back and tell the idiots that started all this stupid stuff!

Oppenheimer and quite a few other scientists' working on the manhattan project did not want the atomic bomb dropped on Japan, only demonstrated. They knew better, and they still built the A-bomb, anyway.
The applause that Moray mentioned was in threads' past.

True. Very true.
Preemptive nuclear strike is a base of our military doctrine since early 1990s. We can't afford a full-scale conventional war, so now everyone has to understand that we are ready to answer to any aggression...

The only winning move....
How about a nice game of chess?

As far as I know, Russia has the muscle to blow Europe and the USA back to the stoneage in an unstoppable way. Right Boroda?
-
If I get walloped by a nuke, I'm guessing there wasn't much to do about it myself anyway. The world's going to hell in a handbasket either by melting, over-deforesting, or massive explosion eventually. Sadly, I can definetly comprehend that my generation will see it.
Here's to the tards. A quote from Ron White: "Hit somethin' hard, I don't wanna limp away from this PoS."
