Why?
Well, the two models of the zero we have already need a face-life eventually, and I'm sure with that being done this one could be modeled in as well. It would flesh out the IJNAF most used fighter plane of the war and help with expand the the Japanese plane-set during scenarios and in general.
(Sorry for the jammed together look of the speed and climb data, for some reason it doesn't want to put in my spaces... If anyone sees anything wrong with this info and/or would like to add anything, don't hesitate to say anything!)

it looks pretty cool, i would like to see it in the game, but i dont think it could be a perkie since its soo unprotected (......1 hit from 20mm easily..... ww2 american pilots would say that 1 50 cal could bring 1 down easily)

Where did he say it should be perked?

I only meant having the 2x 20mm Type 99 II Mark 3 cannons options perked since it was rare and they usually had the Type 99 I Mark 3 cannons.

I like the Japanese planes. The more the better.

Oh I see it now. Well, we have an ultra-rare unperked 3 cannon loadout for the LaLa, Im sure it would be alright in the A6M3.

Hells yeah, more Zeroes.

Did any of the later Zeros (A6M6 or 7) see combat in sufficient numbers to add? Could use some more paper kites to shoot at. :D
-
I know I used to have a game with the A6M-8, but then they also had the FG-2 Corsair too...
-
The A6M3 would be a very welcome addition to AH.
I think the big differences between it and the A6M2 are it was faster, had a better rollrate and much better cannon (faster firing). Not sure if the durability was any different, but I know it had a shorter range.

Not sure what the minimum requirement are in numbers for a plane to be modeled. I know the A6M5c had about 93 of them made. After that your talking single digit amounts of planes or just prototypes.

The A6M8 never saw action. Two prototypes were made and by that time the IJNAF was trying to make the Zero a bomber as well because thats all they had left by the end of the war. Although it might of been a capable plane with the new Kinsei Model 62 engine, I doubt theres any real flight data to even be able to model it accurately, let alone enough numbers to have it built.

If it behaves anything like the A6M-3 in Il2 then I say yes to it. I think the IJN and IJA plane set needs some lovin' from HTC. Good request.

We gave you 2 Gay-6Ms, and that....
wasn't...
GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU.....
WAS IT? :rofl
