I've noticed there are several photographers on this forum, so I wanted to see some samples of pictures people have taken. Here is one of my recent pictures.

I went to school for Art and di some photography and still do it on occasion. I have a son so I get enough photo-ops with him growing up. I use Photoshop a lot and you need a good shot to make it even better. Here's a few of mine:
My son and Grimm (from the Cactus Air Force) at the N.C. Zoo

My son "Scribble" catching snow while we were home on leave after 3 years

Slapshot, love the subjects. The Grand Canyon is an amazing place to shoot. Have you tried using a polarizer for landscape shots? It will help removed some of the light reflecting off of the haze and make the colors pop a little more. Make sure your landscape horizons are as level as possible when shooting. That way you don't lose any of the image from cropping in post if you decide to rotate the horizon to level.

Funny you mention that ... I was going to respond to JB88 too.
I got a new camera before my trip and ordered filters, one being a polarized filter ... they didn't arrive before I left.
So ... for certain shots, I positioned my very expensive polarized sunglasses over the lens ... :lol
Prior to getting to the Grand Canyon, they had some large forest fires, which is causing the haze that you see in the pictures ... I was somewhat bummed, but overwhelmed at the same time ... was my 1st visit there.
Other shots are in Colorado.
Those are the raw images ... I plan to pass them thru some software filters to try and tweak them a little.

Geary....fess up...where were those photos taken?
One looks like the Ouichita range, and another looks like the Saline River.

I've got some Grand Canyon pics that I have to dig up on my other HD.
Here is one from up in Canada:

I haven't given photography too much thought.

All within an hour of LaCrosse, WI. The big river at sunrise is the Mississippi about 5 miles from my house, the smaller river is the Black River in Jackson County.

On this one I applied an Orton effect to the interior of a Mustang.
