Last night i watched a base be takein by LVT's after the cv and cruiser were both sitting on the bottom. However even after they were sunk there were still LVT's spawning up almost feet dry, Its my humble oppinion that LVT's should be disabled on any carrier group where the cv and cruiser are sunk Im sure im not alone in this thinking. or maybe i am

Up a osti and kill them. Get a few pings on them and when a fellow tank kills them you get the kill. Rinse and repeat. :p

I agree with smokey23.
I mean how ridiculous is the way it is now... Imagine if that was the case when FH's were bombed... yeah u could still spawn a fighter... or a VH when vehicle hangar was down....
Very Good Point smokey23. I agree 100%, whether it will be changed or not remains to be seen, but I expect it'll be the latter.

It would be really spiffy if they revamped the game mechanisms once every 5 years or so. All sorts of easy tweaks could add a whole lot of value.

Seeing as LVTs are not launched from CVs or cruisers and normally launch from the smaller ships in the battle group, I think they have it right as it is. Sink the other ships if you don't want them launching LVTs

Shooting up the LVTs and PTs while free from any damage from CV aircraft and 5 inchers is a favorite pastime for many. Fish in a barrel man. Up a B-25H and pretend they're the Iranian navy.:D

Actually, this would give another aspect to sinking a CV.
Sinking:
CV: Stop planes from upping
Cruiser: Stop 8" from shelling
*NEW* Destroyers: Stop LVTs from spawning.

it would be better to add transport ships to the convoy.

I don't Agree but I see your Point. AS I understand it you only get about 15 min or so after the CV is Sunk before its respawns. Not that a big deal.

My general opinion is more on the lines of:
"If people drove the flipping CV with any sense they'd never be close enough to an enemy base to spawn LVT's almost feet dry to begin with! "
Seriously though, I've never seen it, and they sure can't be spawning them for more than a couple of minutes (at most) after the CV is down, so I don't think it's a huge issue.

We need a troop transport ship, and if thats sunk, then no LVTs can be spawned!!

I like to up LVT's and PT boats when the cv group is dead. By then the vulchers get careless and are easy to shoot down with my .50 cal :)

Yep, I think the fleets need some work....
Possible mods:
Create separate Amphib assault fleets...
Consisting of 4 APA's, 1 hvy Cruiser, 4 Destroyers,
And 2 LST's...(LST's able to beach, and spawn 5 GV's each)
CV fleet,
Should have an AA Cruiser, instead of an 8in Heavy...
After all, a carrier would NEVER come close on shore....
Players should be able to up a single destroyer,
same as PT boat....
Just a few Ideas, that (I think) would add
great dynamics to the game....

I think those would be great things to be brought to this game Tom...
It would add new snapshots, scenarios, as well as all new game play to the Main Arenas...
As well as make the Carriers a little more fearful then they are now!!

10 minutes respawn time.
I for one disagree as 90% of the time the enemy will up LVT'S and PT boats and be sitting ducks in the water. Easy kills.
It's like an after battle party. Where the victors celebrate in strafing the poor little diehards.
On the odd occasion when the enemy doesn't pay enough attention to lvt's there still is a remote chance of taking the field. Fair game I say.

Its called a "feeding frenzy" sharks do it all the time. :)
Cv and Cruiser both down, lots of PT's and LVT's spawning trying to take the base in that last 10 minutes.
Can be some of the most fun flying/GV'ing/b25h gunning in the game.
Prevent it from happening? Thanks, but no thanks. I'll take the chaos please.
