A study of the Bush Administrations public announcements, interviews, and publishings (all public record mind you) showing almost 1000 instances of misinformation that led to a war that has killed thousands of our soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens, wasted billions a month that could have been spent or better yet saved here, and your argument to dismiss is that its other countries hating on Bush?
I agree with you Laz on smaller government, we need less of it. I gather you support our war in Iraq yes? If so how do you rationalize the cost to our country? A billion every couple of days is it now?

It doesn't matter what proof you give some of the trolls here. They have their minds made up and anything else is nothing but some evil conspiracy, propaganda or lies from the commies.
It's no big surprise to me on Bush and most of the admin but Powell being number 2 actually surprised me. I'm glad someone actually did a study on it.
"Bush led with 259 false statements, 231 about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 28 about Iraq's links to al-Qaida, the study found. That was second only to Powell's 244 false statements about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 10 about Iraq and al-Qaida."

You gather whatever you want. I figure that it is not my business so much as the soldiers.
So long as the soldiers want to be there then I say stay. As for the money... who cares? if we don't spend it on the war the democrats will use it to make government bigger.. wars get paid for.. socialism only grows.
as for the rest of it... We will have to fight the islamofacists one day.. everyone will. It won't affect me that much as I don't live in a filthy craphole blue city that they will target.
I think the war is taking resources the islamofacists need.. It probly delayed the vaporizing of a few of our craphole blue cities for a few years.
It will happen tho. there will be a showdown.. there is no way it won't... nukes...biological.. missles at passengerplanes and suicide bombings in malls... soon as they catch their breath. If they live that long.
me... I will be in a place that they don't care much about. You guys can sort it all out after the craphole cities vaporize.. or.. you can just cry about it while watching cnn or msnbc.
none of it matters that much to me. I am disgusted with both sides of the issue.

If I had to cast a vote between ANY democrat or Bush, I would cast vote number 3 in the series.

The intelligence reports from the CIA, British intelligence agencies, and others, which stated that Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction, were believed by every major western and middle eastern power.
Clinton believed them....Gore believed them...Blair believed them....as did Chirac and a host of others. These reports predated the Bush administration by several years....he didn't invent them. Not only did Saddam have nerve agents, he had already used them. There was good reason to believe that he was developing a nuclear weapons program....no matter what leftist hindsight says in its attempts to rewrite the past.
While I mourne the loss of American troops in Iraq, I believe that they have not been in vain. No wmd's have been found, but a mass-murderer has been brought to justice. Mistakes have been made during the occupation, and that has caused a setback to the timetable for restructuring the country and its government. The democrats whipped up a lot of opposition to the war as a result, and rode it to victory in the election of 2006.
And yet....and yet....the war and the restructuring efforts are grinding inexorably toward success. Their opposition to the "surge" has proven to be an embarassment to the war's opponents....and Iraq has been safer within the last 6 months than at any time over the last four years.
Certainly our casualties should not be taken lightly, but a little perspective is in order. We lost twice as many during the month it took to subdue the island of Iwo Jima as it has over the last six years in Iraq.
By the way, trolls come in many breeds. They are all a contentious lot, that squabble and bicker and argue continuously. They refuse to yield a point and refuse to learn from their mistakes. Yet, the worst of the lot are those that do not recognize the fact that they are, indeed, trolls themselves.
