greeting,
    i normally fly a 190 in most fights. im having trouble, when i get low, keeping the plane right side up. it always seems to want to snap roll over on me. if i have wep on its even worse. ive had some great battles only to lose all my points in a low alt snap roll. can anyone give me some advice. ive been playing about 2 months solid on a regular basis but would consider myself a novice. thanks for any suggestions---

the torque of the engine on a 190 or any plane will make it roll better in one direction.  Kicking WEP will increase the Torque!

The 190 has a great roll rate and you need to use it to your advantage.  Sustained flat turns, bleeding your energy will be the main reason your finding life difficult.

Listen to the stall buzzer sound.  When your plane starts shaking (buffeting) your just about to enter what you have described.  It means your pulling too hard on the stick and don't have enough airspeed to keep doing so.  

Make sure you have your stick correctly setup and scaling set.

Other than that fly a Spitfire and you shouldn't have a problem.

With all sincerity, and honesty, a 190 has no business being low.  If you find yourself in a 190 and low, extend, grab for alt and put yourself in a better situation so you can come back and fight.

     Ignore the folks who may berate you for B & Z, and not turn fighting.  There is no shame in flying your crate within its strengths and not exploiting your weaknesses.  These guys are merely trying to get you to T & B with them.  Don't give in to the temptation.  If you play their game, you will lose.  They can get you to snap-roll and auger as you have found out.  Especially in the AvA with the Spit9's.  Its a trap.

Make a pass, haul a%$.  That's what she's best at.

A little note here re 190's

And most all LW iron.

There is a tendency to snap roll in hard turns.

The 109 will do it because of the slots on the leading edge.

HOWEVER FUEL SEEMS to be more the issue here!

With a 190a5 and d9 the AFT tank is burned off 1st so the snap rolls aren't quite as bad.

With the a8 and f8 you will find both tend to snap roll worse then the 2 above models.

Part of the reason is the increased ARMOR!

a8 and f8 are set to burn off the AUX tank 1st while in auto fuel select and thus the CG is hampered longer!

If you switch to the AFT purposely and burn it down to between 50 and 25% remaining the 190's preform BETTER!

A trick is to get on the runway and select the AFT tank before you even start it.  Then burn it down to 50% or less then switch to DT and auto fuel select.

With a 109 taking 75% and a DT helps if you have a long way to go.

Or take 100% but burn off the 1st 25% in the main before you switch to DT and auto fuel select.

If you have 100% fuel ina 109 avoid HARD turns as much as you can!

Soon as you hit about 75% or less go for it!

BUT watch the slots! (or should I say slats?)

Don't listen to him.  Next thing you know, he'll have you believing that a pint of beer is better than a whole liter of it, served in a stein, with a lid on it.  (I think the lid is to keep you from drooling in it when the ladies with the big ones come out to serve it)

Hello Captain1ma,

Messa is right.  Do not fight the 190s at low altitudes, especially in the LW MA's.  They are lunchmeat at that point.  Get some altitude, and drop onto on those lower cons.  Use your roll to reposition gunsight if con is moving to avoid your BnZ pass.  After engaging don't hang around, get your altitude right back.  Repeat your attack again.  Good luck sir!

Stop into the TA and try to hook up with a trainer for some help too.  You'll probably learn more in an hour than you will in a month or two of getting slaughtered in the MA.

Unfortunatly I'm stuck working night shifts this weekend, and won't be available myself.  I'll be in the game Monday and Tuesday night though.  If it works into your schedule give me a holler!  If I'm not in the TA I'll be in the LW MA form 10pm-3or4am both nights (central time).
